Challenge: who would like to play a fun YLF'er guessing game?

I have an idea for a super fun challenge! Let's play a game of guess the YLF'er! How well do you know your fellow Fabbers' styles? Could you identify them by their outfits, even if they were headless?

If you want to play, PM me and I'll send you my email address so you can send me a pic. Or you could even just send me a link to one of your WIW's. Try to take/pick a picture that is one of your signature looks and is very representative of your style. Headless and generic background is best, but not a requirement (I think I can try to crop heads out of the photos).

Then when I've collected all the responses (say by next Friday?), I will compile and post the challenge thread with all the pictures and a list of names, and everyone will have to guess who the fabbers are in each picture! The one who gets the most correct wins YLF supersleuth bragging rights!

This post is also published in the youlookfab forum. You can read and reply to it in either place. All replies will appear in both places.

You are so good at keeping things fun around here! And a good way to try out the new aspects of the PM system that Greg has worked on (we're supposed to be able to post pictures in a pm now). I'm in!

Oh, really? I didn't know we could post pics in PMs! That would make it a lot easier! I'm going to ask Greg about it!

@Cocolion - I think that's still in the testing stage, no?

Natalie sounds like fun. I will be in this. And Iim not sure we can use the attach photo facility to our pm's yet as its only being tested.

Thanks for the link AJ! I'll check with Greg.

    Bumping for more players!

I'm in. How can we get the piccies to you then?

  • goldenpig replied 11 years ago

    I'll PM you my email!

So should it be pictures we haven't posted yet?
Otherwise it might be too easy.

Interesting idea. I sort of play a version of this by myself on Pinterest. I am following a few ylf ladies and I notice that I can "name that pinner" at a glance before I even read the details. It's interesting to realize that someone's style is so strong that you can see a scarf or pair of booties and know exactly who was drawn to that item.

Marcy, it can be a new pic but doesn't have to be...I just want to get as many people to participate as possible!

I'm interested! I will make a note for when I get home. :)

Sounds like fun - I'm in!

I'll play, although I'll bet everyone can guess me just based on my "signature messy bookshelf" backdrop, LOL.

I'm pretty certain I could guess everyone without a head just because I would recognize them by their body. The only way I think it would work based purely on style is to post outfits style boards.

Bumping again! We have three pics so far, would love to get more (otherwise it's too easy)! It doesn't have to be a new pic, if you want just send me a PM and point me to a link to your prior WIW. I'll see if I can crop heads off.

I can do it too ut need to get picture taken with a different background: my grey shed is too recognizable :-)
Natalie, when is the deadline? :-)

  • replied 11 years ago

I am still in. I have been so busy, I have not had the time to take the picture.

  • goldenpig replied 11 years ago

Bumping one last time! I'm planning to post the pics tomorrow so please send me your pic or link to a previous WIW today--the more the merrier! I don't want to make this too easy for you guys! :)
