Help! K/R: Blue snakeskin pointy kitten heels

Hello! Sorry I've been super busy the last week, but finally have a day off. I'd love to know what you think of these blue snakeskin pointy kitten heels. I've been looking for a replacement for my White House Black Market ink blue snakeskin Mary Jane pumps. They are just too high and too stiletto heeled to be comfortable to wear for a full day at work. I really love them, but I never wear them because I feel slightly unstable--I'm afraid I'll trip and twist my ankle as I'm rushing around at work and between office and hospital. But it's really hard to find blue snakeskin pumps with a lower heel! I found these after much online searching--what do you think? I won't go into where I got them or price just yet, but these have to be stellar for me to keep. They seem like they will be all-day work shoes based on how they feel at home. Just wondering if you think they're too pointy and will become dated? (I actually had two very similar suede extreme pointy kitten heels in black and brown from Banana Republic that I purged a few months ago because they were >15 yr old and worn, but now pointy is back in!) And is the color too light for the outfits I'm considering? I also see the slight wrinkling on the instep, but I don't think that's noticeable from far away. Thanks in advance for your advice!

I really like the kitten heels! I compeltely see why you are replacing the mary janes. I am not sure how you walk in those!! I would be face planting every few steps.

Now, as for being dated, I really can't answer. I do beleive the pointy toes will date as it is a more extreme trend. Almond toes much less so.

I have yet to find a pair of pointy toes that work for me, so I can't speak to all day comfort.  I have to say, if I were on my feet as much as you, I would probably blue blue snakeskin Danskos  :)

I almost love them, but they are just too long and pointy for my taste. I love the color/pattern, and the dainty heel is gorgeous.

Gorgeous colour, Natalie. I think pointy toe will be with us for a while. But these ones seem quite extreme to me. A bit on the witchy side...though, having said that, much less so in the whole body shots than in the closeups and comparisons. However, I worry that the wrinkling at instep suggests they are too big for you.

Sorry, but I think they make your feet look cartoonishly long. Also, have you walked in them? I'd worry about tripping. I'm probably just overly sensitive because I actually do have cartoonishly long feet, but I avoid shoes that make my feet look longer.

I think the pointy aspect is too exaggerated. But that is in my eye. But what I mean is, the first thing I think when I see them is wow, those are some really pointy shoes, instead of, look at those elegant shoes. Perhaps the effect is different IRL.

I'm not wild about them, although I do adore the color. I'm afraid that I think toes this pointy need to be paired with a high heel to stay proportional. With a kitten heel or flat, I think you need to stick to almond toes.

I feel bad because I want to love them, but I don't.  I like the kitten heel and I think the blue is very pretty, but they are just too pointy for me.

I love them, but do also think they make the foot look longer.  That said, I have purple suede slingbacks with a very similar toe that I wear with abandon.  Guess I don't care how long my feet look!

Thanks everyone, please keep the comments coming! I guess I am used to extreme pointy toes, it doesn't bother me as much as it bothers you all. Here are the pics of the extremely pointy kitten heels I used to have. I had them for 15 years and they were really comfy, but very worn. I colored them with a Sharpie, but then they stank, so I had to let them go. I kinda miss them, but now I have some pointy flats from WHBM to take their place!

Pretty shoes, but I also think the points are too long. Pointy toes come in many renditions, and as I mentioned in a recent post - they are quite tricky.

I don't think points are going to date at all. They aren't even mainstream yet - but they will be. They are again all over the catwalks at NYFW as I type.

These look very Cruella Devil to me. Sorry. The color is indeed gorgeous but I have a biased opinion on kitten heels AND pointy toes, so it is hard for me to like these.

"Then they stank." You crack me up.

If you are comfortable at this pointiness level, my only concern is that instep wrinkling. Can you try the new pair down a half size?

OK, confession--these are Jimmy Choos. I don't own any high end designer shoes, (although I do own Kate Spade and Chie Mihara, but these are much more expensive). They are super expensive, but I couldn't find anything else that fit my criteria so I took a chance on it.

It's not available in a half size down. These are size 38, which is a 7.5 or 8 depending on what chart you use. I'm usually a 7.5. I don't think I would be able to do a 37.5 anyways because it seems to run narrow in the toe box (LOL!) so I think sizing down would be too tight.
I agree, these might be too pointy for most peoples' taste.
I had previously called Bergdorf to cancel the order, and they said they would contact the store because it was being shipped from the store, but several days later after no response I called back and they said it had already shipped. I really don't like their CS--very slow shipping and no communication or shipping/tracking email. I'll probably return these since they're not getting any love!

Any suggestions for alternative blue snake shoes (flats, kitten heels or low heels)?
