K/R: Blue snake flats

The blue snake shoes saga continues...
I tried some pointy kitten heels to replace my WHBM blue snake stilettos. But they were too pointy so I returned them. So then I ordered some Chie Miharas with a sturdier heel. But they are 3 inch heels and not the most comfortable to last all day on my feet. I'm still wearing them for office days like today, but wanted to get a pair of flats in a similar style for MOTG and busy hospital call days where I have to walk a lot. So I ordered a pair of Rachel Zoe blue snake flats on Rae's recommendation. The only strange thing is that there's this weird wrinkling on the instep and I'm not sure what's causing it. I also got it with the Jimmy Choos too but not as bad. Does this look too funny--should I return it and keep looking? It's not as noticeable from far away but it's definitely there. The shoe (7.5) is my normal shoe size, I don't think I can size down. Thanks in advance for your advice!

love the hardware on the back!
i would not have noticed the wrinkle if you had not pointed it out. that being said, is it wrinkling because the shoe is to big? when you walk, does it feel like you are walking out of the shoes? if/when the shoes stretch, will they be to big?
if they are comfortable and fit, i would keep

I would send them back Nathalie. It looks like a design fault but whatever the reason it would drive me nuts having that gaping there. :(

Hmmm, I am not sure these are keepers. Fun shoes, but I am super picky about shoes and I am not on me feet all day! Comfort trumps style in my book. If my feet hurt, I can't concentrate on much else.

Hmm, Natalie, I' not quite sure! I really like the look of the shoes, but the wrinkling is noticeable, and I worry that it will get worse wen they are more worn. It's not a big flaw in my book, so if you don't mind, keep them anyway. If it bothers you already, return.

Is it that they are too small, or cut for a lower volume foot? It almost looks like your foot is pressing on the top of the toe cutout, and causing the sides to flex out in response.

I think the last is the wrong shape for you, Natalie. It just doesn't fit properly. Might be technically the right size, but it doesn't look like a great fit. Which would lead to discomfort, I'll bet. Sad, because they are such a pretty colour!

They look great but I think the gape will drive you crazy and probably means the fit is not right for your foot.
