My small but mighty boot collection

I saw all the gorgeous boots in this boot collection thread and I was inspired to join in. I don't have a huge boot collection compared to others, but I'm pretty happy with it.

Any glaring boot holes? I don't really have shooties or ankle boots because I have skinny ankles and suffer from flowerpot syndrome. My narrow calves also make boot shopping tricky. So when I find something that fits, I like to duplicate in brown and black so that I can wear them with all colors of outfits. Next on my list is a pair of snow boots for when we go skiing a few times a year--I've actually been using DH's old rain/snow boots from when he was a kid (10), but they're cracked and all the insulation has worn away, so I'd like to get some real snow boots to keep my feet warm

My favorite booties are the OTBT gold booties (so comfy). My overall favorites are the burgundy patent Aquatalia Vavoom rainboots and the black Frye Melissa lace-ups--they make me feel like a superhero! Don't you love how putting on a pair of tall boots automatically make you feel a little bad-@$$? ;)

Thanks for looking at my "small but mighty" boot collection!

Ok, you are close to me without my gear boots. Don't you love the OTBTs? I am so happy we are twins! This is nice delectable selection of boots for you. I think burgundy suede should be your next addition.

Oh my goodness - forget your boots, your boot shelving is amazing! You have a great collection but the burgundy rain boots strike me as the most you. Which are your favorites?

  • goldenpig replied 10 years ago

Yes Una, thanks so much for the OTBT rec--I love being boot twins with you! And they are really comfy--I can wear them all day at work. Burgundy suede sounds yummy! Although then they'd fight for attention with my burgundy patent rain boots, which are my favorite, you are correct Shevia! I'd be tempted by your burgundy booties though...I tried some Munros but they didn't work out. Just realized I forgot to comment on your fab collection!

Great collection. Would you wear more dressy pointed toe booties?

  • lyn* replied 10 years ago

    Whoa. That's a lot of boots :3

I echo Caro - dressy boots?

  • deb replied 10 years ago

I am with Shevia, love the shelving!!! The boots are great, also.

I think you have a great collection and a great way to display them. I would love to be able to see all of my shoes at once!

I never noticed, but now that they're all collected - I'm a bit surprised you don't have a dainty pair of kitten heel boots in there.

I love the OTBT boots!  Just added them to my Amazon wishlist.

I see you like to have similar style of boots in both black and brown.  Interesting.  I also love the burgundy patent.  I have a pair of burgundy patent winter boots that are getting old and LOVE them so may search for the ones you have.

    Lovely collection and shelving too.

ETA:  I just spent the last 20 minutes looking online at red patent boots and booties.  You are dangerous Natalie.

  • Janet replied 10 years ago

That is a nice collection -- and I love the shelving too! :-)

I agree that I could see you getting use out of a nice dressy pair of boots, with your fab skirts and dresses.

Great collection and great shelving! You have more boots than I do, by the way, and I'm in Canada. So I guess small is relative. Mind you, I am hoping to add to my collection, bwahahaha.....(looks with guilt at smoking credit card...) I think your post gives me just the permission I need!

Mighty indeed!  I agree that you could use a dressy pair.  I am so glad to see all of your boot collections because it makes me feel justified in adding to mine.  :)

A gorgeous boot collection.  I'm off to photograph mine!

Glad to see someone else has the one in black, one in brown addiction.
Trying to branch out from that with all the great new colors available, but it's hard! Especially with fussy feet--as you say, if one fits well, it can be best to duplicate.

How fun to see your boot collection!! I feel like I am in your closet right now because I can remember your K/R's on alot of these. The only thing that stuck out was #5, interesting to see that it is the only thing here pre-YLF.... They don't really seem as current as everything else. Do you still wear them?
