Party Like It's 2012 Challenge: Floral pants edition

Fashionably late to the party but I couldn't resist showing up to MaryK's "Party Like It's 2012" soiree!
http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....012-outfit

Here's my 2012 party outfit!
H&M floral pants (I had to wear them unbuttoned with an elastic around the button but how could I not pick these!)
Bailey 44 black and white tiered stripe tank
Forever 21 orange blazer
Kate Spade High Line Leica turquoise jewel clutch
Kate Spade Shelley turquoise pumps
Banana Republic Trina Turk colored bangles (plus a few more silver and black ones)
White House Black Market silver and black pendant

I think I hit a lot of the 2012 trends:
Cropped ankle length floral printed pants (esp the H&M version that many of the fashion bloggers wore)
Diagonal tiered stripes
Print mixing with stripes and florals
Orange
Turquoise
Bright shoes
Daytime clutch
Matchy matchy (purse and shoes)
Arm party

OK, confession: I didn't actually wear this out of the house today because DH hates these floral pants with a passion! Plus it's not a good MOTG outfit anyways. I think it's a little too much for work too. Should I wear this to the next Mom's Night Out, or is it way too over the top trendy? If it's too much, I'll have to save it for the next YLF get-together!

I LOVE this!!! You look like you're in a fashion spread w/o being OTT. THIS is how PG women should dress; I wish those maternity wear companies would get the message.

No, guys wouldn't appreciate this look, and actually I think of you with a more subdued look. But you really did a fabulous job of putting all the pieces together so they look great. Your shiny, shiny black hair is really the crowning glory to unifying this look.

I would totally wear it for Moms' Night Out, maybe minus the super-blingy clutch. You look completely adorable, as usual!

You have caught so many of the trends in one look! I especially love the striped shirt and jacket on you - you could wear the whole thing with your friends or just keep the top half if you want to scale back a bit. Great pregnancy style!

This is so you, and not OTT! BUT it depends on your fellow moms....some may not "get it"....depends on how much you care about the crowd's opinion....

My D.H. calls mine 'Pyjamas' but I LOVE them.
This is my favourite outfit of yours so far I think!
    FAB!!!!!!!!!!

Natalie you know I love this! Those pants always look fab on you. I wish your DH didn't have such a strong negative reaction to them. This is a fab girls night out outfit. Wear it with pride and confidence:)

    I love it pants twin!

Definitely NOT over the top. Try fierce!

I swear ( and I shouldn't) that you are going to force me out of my comfort zone of solid colors into full-blown pattern mixing. I love your eye for color and scale. What I wouldn't do for that aqua clutch!

I love this! The bold black stripes are the perfect compliment for the floral pants here. Definitely wear for your next MNO!

Thanks DonnaF, MaryK, Shevia, Isis, Lyn D, Deborah, Anna, Day Vies, Una, Kirti, Runner Rae, Kim and Shannon!

OK guys, maybe I will try this for Mom's Night Out next week! Deborah, I know, I wish my husband didn't hate these pants! Day Vies, I'd love to see you pattern mixing! I think you'd look so fierce yourself, since you already have fab style! Anna, high five pants twin--I love your version even more since you have the matching blazer--the floral suit is killer!
