WIW 10/30: The Great Pumpkin (w/Rachel Roy tree skirt & witch booties)

Since Halloween is coming up and I'm off work tomorrow, I couldn't resist dressing in a holiday theme today!

I just bought this mustardy orange maternity cowl neck sweater top, because I like the color and my other turtlenecks are getting too short. With my big belly, I think it kind of makes me look like a giant pumpkin! I decided to keep the Rachel Roy tree skirt in the larger size 8--even if I can't wear it too much longer during this pregnancy, it'll still take me a while to lose the weight postpartum. If it's too loose afterward, I can always have it taken in. I think the "dead tree branches" fit with the Halloween theme. And of course if I'm wearing pumpkin orange, I have to go with black accessories (leather jacket, belt and purse). And my black "witch" ankle boots and broom. Happy Halloween everyone!

Adorable! Did you have that skirt shortened? It was so long on me, even in P sizing!

Una, it's so short because I had to hike it all the way up over my big belly! The waist is actually a few inches under my bust. I'm sure when I lose the baby weight it'll go back to midi length.

AHA! Pregnancy hem! You should check out my turquoise skirt at Target - it would be perfect for this look!

You look so fashionable, not Halloween themed at all. (I wlll admit that is the exact reason why I do not wear black and orange together). Your sweater looks yellow/gold to me not orange, which is probably why I like the outfit so much. I LOVE the skirt, the color and print are so striking.

Una, I'll take a look online! Or maybe I'll try something with my agate dress. Dayvies, thanks! I actually like dressing in holiday themes--hearts for Valentine's, red white and blue for July 4, etc.

Maybe I'll have to try holiday inspired dressing, because this result is fabulous.

Great outfit! I think it looks super cute and perfectly Halloween-y. The only change I might make is to try a thinner belt since your torso has gotten so short.
