WIW 11/18: Black and white pattern mixing and red corset trench

Yesterday was my signature spicy autumn palette (http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....tumn-spice), today is my other signature palette of black, white and red. I was going to wear red shoes, belt and purse as I've done before, but instead I went with all black and white and left the trench as the only pop of color. When I wear belts now, I have to wear them under the bust, so I guess it's starting to look funny to people. So instead of belting the turtleneck with a skinny red bow belt like I usually do, I used a long necklace. I am not used to wearing long necklaces so that's new for me. I went with pattern mixing on the skirt and purse...I think the pattern mixing and corset back on the trench give this otherwise rather plain outfit that little GP twist--what do you think? Thanks for looking and commenting!

Natalie, you look lovely. I really like that trench; there is something subversive about a pregnant woman wearing a corset trench! The necklace looks good on you, too. And the pattern mix is subtle but effective.

Well you already know I love these colours! The pattern mixing with the skirt and handbag is sublime. But the star of the show is that incredible trench - positively gorgeous!

Hello, trench twin! =). I love your pattern mixing, and the black/white/red color combo is fantastic.

I really like this combinations of the red with the very elegant black and white skirt and purse. I'm not usually a huge fan of pattern mixing, but I love the way you've done it here - I feel like those patterns are just different enough to be a contrast but not different enough to hurt my eyes!

You look so good in red, black and white, Natalie! The necklace works well and is a good substitute for a belt at this stage of pregnancy.
And oh, that trench! I have been in love it ever since I first saw it.

    Just another fabulous outfit!

Super cute! I love you in red. The necklace looks great. You should try that more often. :D The details give it just enough GP punch too, I think.

    Lookin' good, lady.

You amaze me! No baby bump (or the fatigue of work, children and pregnancy) can deter you from having fun with fashion! This is one of my all-time favorite color combinations, and your version is so well proportioned and balanced. Brava!

Of course you look amazing. I am getting a lot of joy out of seeing all those fab items we watched you choose over the last year coming out to play at a difficult dressing phase. You are really getting use out of your clothes and it's inspiring!

Hurray for pattern-mixing that actually makes me happy. You pulled it off wonderfully.

The red trench looks great with your outfit! I really like the long necklace to draw attention upwards.

Natalie, you are 'glowing', and the trench is really beautiful!
The necklace brightens-up the black top in a lovely way too.

Again, chiming in late, but had to say this is such a super colour combination heading into Advent season! That skirt is such a beauty, and with the mary janes, the typical ladylike GP look --- just subverted UWP-wards by the corset detailing on the coat. Brava!

Natalie, this is a very lovely outfit and you look terrific in it. Honestly I think that a combination of black and white can never be boring, especially when red is thrown into the mix as well!
You are so lucky you live in the climate where you don't need to button up your outerwear for warmth so you can wear all your pretty trenches now.:-)
