WIW 11/2-6: Map bag and my autumn palette

Still super excited about the map bag that Rae so kindly gave me! Thanks Rae! It's perfect for my favorite warm spicy autumn palette. Fall is finally here!

1. 11/2. Halogen pussy bow abstract stripes blouse
Lafayette 148 cognac leather jacket
White House Black Market blue pleated skirt (I love how ladylike I feel in this swishy skirt)
Forever 21 bronze bracelet
Clarks brown pumps
Map satchel

2-4. 11/3. At first I tried this Missoni blouse with teal skinnies and yellow sweater, but the colors and proportions weren't right...the shirt felt too short to wear with skinnies. I liked it much better with the teal sweater and rust flared corduroys. I think the extreme flares of the bell bottoms combined with the crazy print on the shirt give it a fun '70's vibe, what do you think? Closeup of the bag's print.
Missoni for Target printed blouse
Only Mine teal cashmere V neck sweater
Anthro rust bell bottom cords
Timberland Stratham Heights cognac heeled boots
F21 bracelet
Map satchel

5. L148 cognac leather jacket
H&M olive safari shirtdress
Linea Pelle leather belt
F21 bracelet
Frye Melissa cognac flat lace-up boots
Map satchel

6. ASOS Vero Moda plum ditsy floral frock
F21 brown double buckle belt
Mia Nanette brown lace-up ankle boots
F21 bracelet
Map satchel

7. Ralph Lauren equestrian pussy bow sleeveless blouse (I was kind of stumped for a topper because a leather jacket felt like too much leather with the skirt, so I just threw on a black cardigan for warmth)
Gap black cardigan
L148 gingerbread leather A line midi skirt
Sam Edelman Okala pony print pumps
Map satchel
(Oops, forgot the F21 bracelet, better go throw that on!)

Okay, I'm officially jealous! That map satchel is fabulous, as are all your outfits!

  • El Cee replied 6 years ago

All your outfits are stunning. I am especially in love with 2/3. The color combo is splendid and those rust cords are to-die-for. The map bag is really working OT for you. Great wardrobe addition.

Love 1, 2 and 3 the best!  Those are some seriously great rust cords.

1 and 2 are my faves. I love the blues with the cognac. The teal with those flares is just gorgeous! I've never been a fan of tan on me but I'd give it another chance if I could look as good as you. Fab outfits!

As a warm autumn, I love seeing your chosen palette! And as a newbie, may I say thank you for your great maternity style & example of ladylike fabulousness! You are a style icon.

I love the way you put colors together! Everything looks great! That map bag is really cool.

  • Dottie replied 6 years ago

Love everything, but #6 made me faint!  I love that plum dress.

  • Day Vies replied 6 years ago

The teal and rust outfit is so retro fab I can't stand it! I love all of these for different reason though. #6 just has me written all over it. I have been in love with that color for the past 2 weeks and the belt is a fabulous low contrast accent. I also adore #7 -- the shoes are such a nice accent. It's like the last little bit to send this outfit into fabu-land. Marking as a favorite and stopping before I write a book.

Thanks Tarzy, El Cee, Amy, Kelly, Alasse, Amy, Dottie & DayVies!

El Cee, Amy, Kelly, & DV, glad you guys liked the rust cords! Timely, given Angie's post about bootcuts/flares. I haven't worn these in a while (I mostly wear flats and skinnies for MOTG) but it's fun to pull them out for a change of pace. And Dottie and DV, I'm partial to the plum dress too!

Alasse, I'm glad we share the same color palette. And thanks so much for the compliment--you are too sweet!

Tarzy & Amy, thanks for the compliments!
