WIW 11/7: Mom's night out (black leather and burgundy)

Well, I was thinking of wearing this Party Like It's 2012 floral pants outfit to Mom's Night Out (http://goldenpig.lookfab.com/p.....ts-edition),
but in the end I decided to go with something more subtle (plus I didn't have time to change from my daytime outfit). I think this was a little more in keeping with the environmental milieu. I didn't stand out too much but got lots of compliments on my outfit from the other moms. I have gotten so much use already out of these burgundy maternity skinnies I just bought--I thought it wouldn't make sense to buy new maternity clothes, but it was definitely worth it! It will get great CPW even though I only have a few more months left.

Tahari black leather jacket
H&M black and white T shirt (old non-maternity, but long enough to cover the belly)
Mavi burgundy maternity skinny jeans from Pea in the Pod
Mia Nanette black lace up ankle booties
Le Sak black purse
WHBM burgundy snakeskin cuff

Burgundy skinnies are a brilliant pregnancy buy - you are a super stylish pregnant mom, no wonder you got compliments.

THat is a lovely outfit. You must be one of the sassiest pregnant moms there.

This is one of my all time favourites on you.

Very cute Natalie! Those pants were definitely a great buy. Dig this moody color palette, the white dots in the top are just the right breaker for all the dark color here.

Love this Natalie! You look great.

Gorgeous! What is Mom's night out?

Thanks Shevia, Mona, Caro, Aida, Ceit and Una!
Mom's Night Out is what we call it when a bunch of us moms get together and the dads stay home and take care of the kids. In this case it was the moms from DD's kindergarten class...about 16 of us went out for Mexican food and margaritas (well, pineapple agua fresca for me). It's so fun to eat and chat with other moms without having to worry about feeding and wrangling the kids (of course, we end up talking about the kids anyways).

You look great, but honestly, I like your Party 2012 outfit even more.

What is it about men anyway? I am quite sure that my hubby would hate it if I bought floral pants too.

Gorgeous, great colour on you. SImple, modern and still with a touch of your lady like vibe. I loved being pregnant....and not having to worry about holding my tummy in!! Lol

    Thanks Zap, JR and Deborah!
JR, yes I agree there are certain looks that are man-repelling...for my DH that's floral pants, leopard, and fur. That's why I usually save those looks for work and Mom's Night Out.
Deborah, yes it's great not to have to worry about hiding the bump anymore and letting it all hang out!

You are one stylish lady - you look great and I really want to see you wearing your DH repelling floral pants.

You look so great! Love the burgundy skinnies - they are such a nice departure from the usual boring maternity pants!

I love idea of mom's night out! And between the burgundy and leather, you look ready to party. You are the queen of pregnant style!

  • Marley replied 11 years ago

Oh my gosh Natalie - you just look absolutely beautiful in this outfit (in a very cool kind of way!) Love the burgandy pants and the printed top with the leather jacket - the booties top it all off. Great outfit! Hope you had fun!

Burgundy skinnies for maternity...would anyone have believed this possible a few years ago? They look great on you! Hope you had a fantastic time.
