WIW 1/18: Andrea copycat--Grey suit and lace-up boots

I was inspired by Andrea's picture yesterday in her grey suit and Doc lace-up wedge boots. So I thought I'd try something similar with my grey Classiques Entier suit with black lace trim, black Anne Fontaine button down blouse, black necklace, black tights, and black Melissa Frye boots. And grey croc Kate Spade tote. I felt a bit Victorian/steampunk today at work!

I'm fanning myself here Natalie - gorgeous!

Great suit! The lace up boots even take the attention off of the underboob :)
    Seriously you look amazing!

  • Mo replied 12 years ago

LOVE it! I so want a pair of Frye Julia's lace ups myself.

  • Mochi replied 12 years ago

I thought I'd gotten new boots out of my system.

    Guess not.

Natalie hits another one out of the park.

This is amazing on you! I love seeing how your style has evolved. Mochi is so right. Grand slam!

Another fantastic outfit. That's an amazing suit, btw!

Stylin' diva! :) So impeccably tailored yet funky! Fun wild boots. But I almost didn't recognize you without bold COLOUR...! I'd definitely miss your happy and rich-toned outfits if you did black and grey too much though. :)

*swooning* you are like an artist that, just when we think we've seen all their stuff, comes back with something completely fresh! I LOVE this Victorian/gothic/steampunk referencing on you, and I especially love that you did it without resorting to all black - this charcoal grey is way cooler!

Oooo, I'm so honored to have inspired such a terrific ensemble! You rocked it, girl! Fantastic look!

  • cciele replied 12 years ago

This totally works for you Natalie. You go girl!

This outfit really tickles my fancy. At first I thought it was the boots that knocked it out of the park. Then I saw the lace trim on the suit. Ladylike hornet with a killer sting.

  • Amy replied 12 years ago

Natalie, you look amazing. Your polished, lady-like pieces paired with the more rugged boots makes this an arresting outfit.

FAB!!! This and the outfit witht he anne fontaine shirt and dotted skirt are more than perfect tens!!

    awesome!!

  • MNsara replied 12 years ago

Wow! This is so striking with the tailored suit (although the lace trim is a hint this is no ordinary suit ;-), then the tall laceup boots!!! Love the way the grey & black keeps everything subtle too. But super that is's not all black as well :-)

    Fun, fab, well done!

I really love this combination. It makes me rethink my focus for replacing my skirt/dress black tall boots. Maybe I'll investigate lace ups... Beautiful and edgy.

  • Jonesy replied 12 years ago

This is very elegant and professional, while still looking edgy and unexpected. The boots make this look, IMO :). Fab!

This is a truly fabulous outfit on you. LOVE it!

  • ironkurtin replied 12 years ago

You look great! It's so impressive how you decided to make a change in your wardrobe - and then just WENT for it!

SO AWESOME! In addition to everything everyone else mentioned (which I agree with) I love the low contrast look on you. When you said "Anne Fontaine blouse" I was thinking *white*, then I clicked on the picture and saw it was black! How cool is that. I love the collar and placket. I'm tiring of all the shirts that don't give you a choice of which top buttons to leave open and which to close. They all have the first button down SO low. This one is super nice! Love the bag, too and I hope the printed Fossil wasn't jealous. :)

Really, really nice Natalie. Those boots are perfection!
Your last 2 looks have been to die for!
