WIW 12/3: J Crew tipped peacoat and Angie's Gap sweater

Hi all! Happy Monday!
Today I am wearing the Gap sweater that Angie is wearing in her gorgeous outfit post:
http://youlookfab.com/2012/12/.....-holidays/
I was looking for a white fisherman sweater and originally ordered the one from J Crew, but it turned out to be too itchy. Turns out Angie had already posted about that issue, should have read it before I ordered! So after reading her turtleneck post and her acrylic fiber post, she told me about the Gap sweater and I deduced which one it was by matching up the fiber content! :) I bought it on Friday but didn't have a chance to wear it over the weekend. But I couldn't resist pulling it out when I saw Angie's post! This is nowhere near as stunning as her version but I like it nonetheless...it's very wam and cozy. The sweater is soft--I'm wearing it with no underlayer and my skin is fine with it. Since Angie paired it with a beautiful cream coat, I decided to wear my new cream tipped peacoat. And my burgundy skinnies and clutch, my favorite color of the season. The necklace also has burgundy accents--I bought it at Ann Taylor in the 90's but who knew burgundy would make such a comeback twenty years later!

By the way, both the sweater and the peacoat are 25% off if anyone is interested!

You may have to size down--I actually had to size down to XS in this sweater, even with my big pregnancy belly--I tried M and S and they both swallowed me up and the sleeves were too long. I don't like oversized fit though, so your mileage may vary.

J Crew tipped peacoat in antique white (use code STYLE25--free shipping, and no longer final sale!):

This one ran true to (prepreg) size for me--I bought size 4.

So sweet, Natalie! You look cuddly, too. Glad to hear the sweater is a winner!

You look fantastic in this! We are so lucky (I say as someone in your situation a few years ago). We get to wear fantastic, stylish clothes throughout our pregnancies. No tent dresses. No oversized everything. I'm so grateful that when I was pregnant, I was able to wear contemporary clothing and show off my beautiful pregnant baby belly! You look so fabulous--enviably stylish for any woman, let alone a pregnant gal. Gorgeous! Glorious! Fan-dib-a-dozy-tastic! Sorry to be gushing, but you just look that great!

How amazing that the over-sized trend is working so well for you! You'll be able to wear that sweater next year too, since it's your regular size. I just have to go on record as saying you look astounding in cream. And burgundy, really. *fanning*

You look amazing in this sweater. I am envious that you can rock a turtleneck while preggo! What gives?

    Absolutely lovely Natalie!

As usual you look wonderful! I really love the burgundy on you and the cream is so flattering on your complexion. Bravo!

Ditto Una! Amazed how fabulously that *regular* turtleneck works for you while pregnant!

This is a great outfit though, pregnant or not. Love the tipped coat with it. The trim is the perfect accent for your long dark hair, and a great foil for the burgundy! Very 'Snow White' (the traditional tale, not Disney's blue&yellow version)...

Hello sweater twin! Natalie, you look so gorgeous and I love that tipped peacoat, as well. What a great price; I just wish I needed one, but I've already got a pretty full coat capsule and hardly wear them, although I do wish for cold weather now and then, so I can! I love your burgundy skinnies and AT necklace! Stay cozy and stylish as you do so well!

Not meaning to derail your thread, Sveta, but FYI for others: I ordered the S P. I'll keep you posted. I hope I shouldn't have gotten the XS P. But often when the XS is the right size in regular, I need to size up in P.

  • Angie replied 11 years ago

Psssst. Sarah! Sveta started a separate thread about the sizing question.

  • sarah replied 11 years ago

Ack. I posted to the wrong thread. I thought I was on Sveta's! I guess it's been a long week.

SORRY, Natalie - you look cute as a bug. I can't believe you're wearing so many non-maternity clothes.

    *chuckle*

    We adore you, Sarah. :)
