WIW 1/7 & 1/8: Purple Poncho and Peacock Print, and Frye boots x2

My two outfits from this weekend. Saturday I went with my Missoni Target colorful stripey blouse, Old Navy Rockstar Jeggings in Rust (did you get yours yet, Rae?), purple Golden Gate Cardigan sweater poncho from Anthro, and Frye Melissa lace-up boots in brown. After I dressed DD (she is wearing Hanna Andersson) I realized that she and I were wearing very similar stripey tops! Bonus pics of DS smiling on the swing (in Tea collection) and a family shot at the park. Today was kind of the opposite of yesterday--from super colorful to no color, and voluminous topper over sleek shirt to sleek topper over voluminous shirt. I wore my peacock print gray and black Ella Moss top, Tahari black leather jacket, Blue Essence black skinny jeans, and my black Frye Melissa boots. The Frye boots were the common element. I am keeping both colors despite how expensive they are, so I have to start working on getting their CPW down (already wore each pair twice in the last week, not bad!).

Do you like the ON Jeggings? I almost tried them on but the tag said low rise, so I didn't bother. It could be the way the boots are making them bunch at the knees, but they look a little big in the legs, or is that because they stretch?

Your kids are just too CUTE!

Luv today's outfit, especially that jacket!

My heart is bleeding from the cuteness of your kids!!!

Are the lace-up boots in #2 the ones you were wondering if would be okay at work? I think they're totally awesome and fab and totally!!!! One of the residents has a pair that are similar in a reddish tone :)

I think you'll get a ton of wear out of the boots - no worries!

Oh my God, what a darling beautiful family!!! You look like such a fun Mama!

Okay, the Tahari leather jacket is BEYOND AMAZING - woweeee! I love your Anthro sweater poncho too - talk about diversity in outerwear. I am certain you won't be bored by your wardrobe for a loooong time. Great looks this weekend!

AJ, I think the legs might be bunching up a little because the Frye boots are so fitted to my skinny calves (hallelujah!) that there's not a lot of room in there for the jeans. Also, I have to size up two sizes in the ON jeggings to fit my waist (which is a common complaint for this particular style), so that might explain why the legs aren't as sleek fitting. I bought these ON jeans more for the fun colors (red, cobalt and rust) than the quality--they're only $35!

Lyn, yes the black Fryes were the ones I was originally wondering about whether they were work-appropriate or too tough-looking. But I've worn both the black and brown to work already, and now both again on the weekend!

Thanks Helen & everyone...I think my kids are pretty cute too, but I'm biased... :)

Fun outfits! I love the color on day one, and the sleek , urban look today. The rust and cognac play beautifully and I like the contrast/compliment of the purple. And the leather jackie... Yum.

Your fam is of course gorgeous - you all look like you were having a blast!

    Those boots.... *drool*

I love the purple poncho--it seems like a perfect piece for your climate! The boots look really fab too, and of course your family is too cute :).

Love both these outfits Natalie - those colours in #1 are so perfect for you! Your wee ones are just too cute!

I am completely loving oufit #4. The fit on all of the pieces is spot on.

The color combinations on #1 and #2 are awesome but I think the fit on the jeans is not the best. I have my share of fit issues, where I have to find bottoms that hit me at a point that is neither too low or too high. I tend to stick with particular brands that I know for sure will fit me well.

Both outfits are FABULOUS!! I like the black as much as the colour.

I hereby crown you Queen Poncho. You really rock that look :)
