WIW 2/9: Neutrals day 4--Ultra matchy ombre stripes

I'm being matchy-matchy-matchy-matchy! Dress matches shoes matches purse matches wallet. I bought them at different times but they all seem to match. I know super matchy looks aren't everyone's cup of tea, but it was super fun! I got lots of compliments from patients and coworkers alike about my outfit--the nurses all said "Doctor, you look hot!" Tee hee! It made up for last night when DD patted my apple tummy and said "Mommy, your tummy is round because me and baby stretched out your tummy and now it's always round. But that's OK." Haha, out of the mouths of babes! Yes, they were worth it!

Wow eye boggling! You look great. Don't you love it when your kids say stuff like that?

I love that bag, and I don't know if I've seen it before! Dust that thing off! These matches are a match made in heaven. Not exactly, but so close as to be whimsical. I love it all! You look amazing in those high heel Missonis. This is a great "hot doctor" look!

The dress is lovely -- so subtle with the low contrast color blocking. So elegant!

Now this is a matchy-matchy look that I can SQUEE for!! You look stylish and chic!!

It looks super cute! Rules are there for... blow matchy matchy worries, this WORKS!

  • catgirl replied 12 years ago

I like it - it looks like mix and matchy to me because of the varying pattern sizes. I can see why you got compliments. :)

Very chic! I like the chevron echoes!

You look so chic! I love matchy matchy and this is fabulous. Not too exact - it just works.

Beautiful dress, and accessories...-but it's maybe a bit too matchy for my eyes...(but I'm plain, neutral gir!-so don't listen!:-))
    I always love your style!

I love the dress on you. I think you could easily wear it to date night!

Matchy matchy in the best way Natalie! Very nice and classy look.

  • Jewell replied 12 years ago

    I actually like matchy matchy : )

And you've done it in a way that's superb! I love all those pieces- dress, jacket, bag, shoes- the whole matchy matchy package!

My oldest is in his early teens. Sometimes I pat or pinch my mommy tummy and tell him that it's my extra layer of "sexiness" courtesy of him and his sister- LOL He just shakes his head at me.

I'm not commenting on forum threads while I am at NYFW, but I had to chime in to say that this outfit sans the leather jacket is sooooooooo on trend. Brilliant and extremely fashion forward. Catwalk stuff! I absolutely love it.

KILLER to the power of KILLER.

You know what that means :)

  • kellygirl replied 12 years ago

Wow! That's an awesome dress on you. I love the matching shoes and bag. So fab!

  • Diana replied 12 years ago

Oooh, Natalie, this is fantastic! Normally I'm not so into the matchy-matchy, but this works really well (I think because in addition to the color scheme, you have other things going on with the subtly different patterns and stuff to add interest).

Also, you and Lyn have me really wanting one of those Fossil satchels!

  • modgrl replied 12 years ago

I LOVE the dress and the shoes. What a great find to have those two together. I don't think it's overly match with those two pieces.

  • rae replied 12 years ago

LOOOOVE. Not the traditional "matchy matchy" that hurts my eyes, but a rather brilliant pattern mix of varying stripes/chevron patterns. With all your Killer ratings, Natalie, you are DEADLY!

    Hi shoe twin!
    I love this outfit!

  • Meredith1953 replied 12 years ago

Looks beautiful on you! The cut of the dress, the subtlety of the color palette and the echoing of the chevrons, in the shoes just pulls it all together amazingly well.

  • Jilly replied 12 years ago

So cute and stylish! I'm amazed that you didn't buy any of these things at the same time.

  • CocoLion replied 12 years ago

Whoa! Brilliant. I love this. This has got to be one of my faves on YLF ever!

While I sucked at geometry in school, I love it in fashion.
