WIW 3/16 & 3/24 Ebony and Ivory x2: Morse Code and Japanese Floral Lace

I keep coming back to high contrast black and white looks. With all the pattern mixing and matching that I like to do, having a monochrome palette helps make it less ALGO and easier to do matchy matchy.

Morse code theme: dots and dashes (stripes). The shoes and purse look like they were part of a set with the polka dots and ivory snakeskin on both! How fun is that?!

Target zip shirt (CPW must be pennies by now!)
Halogen striped skirt
Michael Michael Kors "Dotty" satchel
All Black fish bow pumps

Japanese Floral Lace. I usually pair this purse and laptop sleeve with the exact match Kate Spade dress, but this DVF lace sweater and lace skirt seem to go quite nicely with the Japanese floral print too! The sweater reminds me of a Rorschach ink blot.

Lovely and fun! I like the dots with stripes. And that floral top is really unique.

Great combinations! I agree that the black and white makes it cohesive. The dot shoes and bag are perfect together. I like to see how you mix and match ( of course) things that you've had for several seasons.

OH MY WORD. How ever did you get that all to match up, Natalie! I LOVE the first outfit. Killer to the power of Killer. Modern Retro too.

Alright I have the camel version of that DVF sweater and I clearly need to up my game. A lot.

    Just beautiful!

love black and white pattern mixing and both of these outfits are great that way.  I particularly like how you grouped geometric shapes in the first outfit, and more organic/botanical shapes in the second.

I'm kinda at a loss for words, tired, just got home from work.  Wish I could find a better way to say, really great outfits, both!  I have a slight preference for the second one at the moment because softer soothing is right when you're emotionally spent.

I just love your matchy matchy, your wide assortment of bags that you display so proudly, and the fun you have with fashion. It's not quite my style, but that's what makes me love it even more - it stretches my thinking (you and I both do pretty and edgy, we just do them in different ways.) Love your WIWs.  Keep it up!

Very beautiful ensembles. You styled them both very well. I adore the striped skirt.
