WIW 3/31 Black Swan (Edgy Circus Ballerina)

Sorry I have been so busy I haven't been posting in a long time!

I don't remember who originally posted about pointy toe lace-up ballet flats being the new "it" shoe, but this was the link:

I bought these Ugg ballet flats because I saw them in the Finds section. They are black and pointy-toed with a snakeskin texture and laces. My pointy black flats from White House Black Market were pretty worn and the black on the tips had worn off. So I wanted to find a good replacement. Who knew that Ugg made pretty shoes, not just fleece boots? They are very comfy and I love them so much I just ordered them in navy and nude as well! That may be overkill, but they were the last ones in my size and once I find shoes I love I often buy them in multiple colors. I had been looking for ink blue snakeskin flats for a long time so I didn't want to pass these up! My nude flat sandals have also gotten worn away on the front so they need to be replaced too.

This is kind of an update on my outfit from Steampunk week (#6):

The original shirt was from Target. I wear it all the time. I bought the Helmut Lang sweatshirt in case my Target one wears out. The HL can also be worn as a jacket. Sorry I didn't get a good pic of the details of the top, but I wore it zipped up like the model in the finds below. It also went on sale briefly, and thanks to the YLF Finds I got a notification that the price had dropped and I was able to get a credit for the difference! Yay! I actually think the Target shirt may look better with this full skirt proportion-wise. And the Munro sandals echoed the striped skirt better. Oh well, it's nice to have options!

I wanted to wear a ballerina-inspired outfit with the ballerina shoes, so I chose the Halogen flared midi skirt, which is the closest thing I have to a tutu. And added some edge with the black asymmetric hem zipper top. And of course the signature matchy matchy with the circus striped skirt, bag and bracelet.

Thanks for looking and commenting!

So great to see you, and you look amazing in those beautiful new shoes! I am so jealous of them. I wish I could wear complete flats without aching feet. Hmm, do they have a tiny wedge, maybe?
