WIW 4/1 Caped crusader: Angie, where's my super suit?

I know Angie's April Fool's post today about the Ultimate Power Suit was meant to be tongue in cheek, but I love that she listed everything needed to create this superhero ensemble down to the last detail. And what's more, I HAVE all of these items! Mini dress, check. Tights, check. Cape, check. Patent boots, check. Obi belt, check. Bulletproof cuff, check. Dark shades, check. So heck yeah, I'm doing it! Fantasy to reality! Feel like a superhero ready to kick some colon cancer @ss today! (PSA: If you're over 50 and haven't gotten your colonoscopy yet, do it!). Bonus pics of the Incredible family: Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, Violet, Dash & baby Jack-Jack (shh, don't reveal our secret identities!). And one of my favorite scenes from the movie where Frozone is asking "Honey, where is my super suit? Where. Is. My. Super. Suit?!" My kids can quote this whole scene from memory! And Angie is our own Edna Mode...always wise and to the point. "I never look back, darling. It distracts from the now." Happy April Fool's Day, YLF!

    Wow this is the sign of an extremely versatile wardrobe when you can take a theme like superheroes and provide a perfectly polished rendition. This outfit is inspired. Your family photo is so much fun!

    I haven't seen those boots before!  What treasures you have hidden in your closet!  Love every detail, and the fact that, while you look like a fashionable Doc on the outside, you feel like a Superhero on the inside!

    Love the way you took Angie's post and made it your own.  And the way you're going to use your Superpowers to fight a deadly disease!

    These posts make me think of Ann Cuddy's research on power poses --- have you read about it or seen her Ted talk?

    Incredible! You've even got Violet, Dash and Jack-Jack! And those boots, and the bag! Elastigirl is so jealous right now.

    And please weigh in with your opinion on Edna's position on capes. I think I know what the answer will be though.

    I've commented before how much I like your Halloween costumes. But I think this might be my favorite picture on YLF. It's so clever and so cute. I bet your neighbors love seeing what you come up with every year.

    This is  awesome, and super chic as well as super powered.  It works really well, the colors and shapes together just fit.

    Beth Ann -- my whole family is into the Beth Cuddy power pose.  My sister did it right before a job interview, I did it before a stressful plane flight etc.  It really does seem to help access courage.

    Thank you all so much for the boost! It was so fun to do this ensemble even if it was an April Fool's joke! And it's kind of like donning the superhero suit makes you feel like one, you can still look like you've got it together even if you're going through a bunch of stress! Thanks Beth Ann for the power pose article. Must keep that in my arsenal!
    And Approprio, I will always be in favor of the cape!
