WIW 4/17: Lace bomber, floral pants, big necklace (SaraL & Shannon-inspired)

I've been wanting to pull out this lace bomber for a while now, but finding it tricky to style. I really wanted to pair it with my H&M floral pants. And I recently bought a black lace-trimmed blouse by Prabal Gurung on clearance at Target for $10 so I wanted to see if I could use that as well. I was having trouble with the fit of the J Crew tuxedo shirt and it was too boxy and boyish, so I'm using this black one instead. It's also a loose fit, but more feminine because it's silky and has lace on it (I also like the faux leather collar). I think it's more my style than the androgynous tux shirt. I also wanted to try a big necklace as in Angie's post, so I'm using my bubble necklace and pairing it with my aqua jeweled clutch, which echoes the shape of the big stones. And these super-pointy kitten heels are so old (from the 90's), that I think they may have finally come back in style now, what do you think? Or are they still too pointy?

I was also inspired by SaraL and Shannon in their recent WIW posts--Sara had floral pants with black blazer and bubble necklace, and Shannon had a floral dress and leather jacket and bright handbag. So this is sort of a combination of the two.

I know this a little (well a lot) ALGO...but is it TMGO? it's a little outside my comfort zone with the trendiness and maximalism. I felt very fashion blogger-y wearing this to drop off DS at preschool. But I just cannot seem to stop wearing these $15 H&M pants, even though they are loud, DH hates them and Angie doesn't like the cropped length. What do you think--keep wearing these pants? I know they are not the most flattering but I can't resist. They are just fun and make me smile.

I also peeled off some layers and switched the jacket for a leather jacket to see if you like it more streamlined/simplified. Let me know which version you think is the best. Thanks for looking and for your comments!

    I love it. But the toes are far too worn on the shoes.

     You're right Anna, I noticed that too when I looked at the pics. Maybe I'll have to pull out a Sharpie marker... ;)

    Anna, I tried coloring the shoes with Sharpie and from a distance, it's not bad at all!

    I love the pants! And I like #8. Mixing the lace pieces looks cool, but the necklace is a bit much IMO. That bag is also amazing!

    I LOVE the pants. It's a little TMGO for me but perfect for you.  The black keeps it from being Way-TMGO.

    Ooh, I love this outfit!  Too bad I'm wearing my floral pants today (will post WIW soon) or I would copy this tomorrow.  I have a black button-down that would work perfect.  I like the pointy-toed shoes and will confess to using the Sharpie trick as well.

    Love those pants on you Natalie! I think I prefer the relative simplicity of #11, but that's just me. Would a simple black tee work with with lace bomber?

    Way to rock those floral trousers Natalie! And I absolutely LOVE the pairing with that gorgeous clutch. I like the outfit equally with the lace bomber (beautiful) or with just the shirt on its own. For some reason, I'm not as crazy about it with the leather jacket but I can't really articulate why.

    Love this look, Natalie!  I'm least fond of the lace insert in the top, but no matter, the overall effect is stunning.  Good job with the sharpie!  Wardrobe maintenance --- the bane of the working mom!

    I have to laugh, because when I saw your pics my first response was, "Oh yea, someone else likes floral ankle pants!" I don't have the same pair (at $15 I wish I did) but mine are extremely comfy and I know I will be getting a lot of wear out of them this season. 
    The shoes look worn but if a Sharpie fixes that, go for it!

    I love all the pieces and they look good together but I'd really like to see say the floral pants with the lace jacket and a plain top so the jacket and pants would be the star or the pants with the lace trimmed blouse - I guess I am a bit overwhelmed by all the fabulosity on show.
