WIW 4/7-10: Three old and one new outfits

I mostly have been wearing repeat outfits without trying to remix or alter anything. If it ain't broke, don't fix it! And one new outfit cobbled together from previously unworn pieces sitting in my closet (I've worn nearly everything now except for the evening dresses!). Plus a bonus kiddo pic because they were so cute this morning! Sadly I haven't been keeping up with the rest of the forum--I've been super busy at work--on call at the hospital this week and worked all weekend and even went into the hospital at 3 am Sunday for a procedure. So I'm exhausted! Sorry to post and run!

1-2. Eggplant Ralph Lauren long sleeved dress
Cognac obi belt
Anthro purple tweed faux-fur collar coat
Ann Taylor necklace
Fossil velvet floral satchel
Frye Melissa cognac lace-up knee high boots

3. Red WHBM cardigan
Black H&M tank top
Red/white/black WHBM hibiscus print pencil skirt
WHBM red snakeskin structured handbag
Clarks black Mary Jane pumps

4. WHBM pindot black suit with ruffle collar
WHBM cream silk shell
WHBM spectator belt
All Black Fish Bow spectator snakeskin pumps
Fossil black and silver chevron satchel

5-7. H&M raspberry cardigan (first time wearing)
WHBM black and white floral tank (first time wearing)
ASOS black midi skirt with skinny black belt (worn over the tank) (first time wearing)
Clark black Mary Jane pumps
Kate Spade grey croc tote
WHBM cream and black contrast trim spring trench jacket
I wore the belt over the tank but under the cardigan, and left the tank untucked. Not sure whether I should belt over the cardigan, tuck the tank, button the cardigan, etc etc. This one seemed the best combo to me but I'm not sure.

8. DS and DD love to say "Boo! Did I scare you?"

3 5 and 7, Divine!, you look so good in colors!

#1 and #6-7 are perfection personified! And those little ghosties you have are utterly adorable. Do you ever bring them to work?

  • Transcona Shannon replied 8 years ago

True Natalie style! You look fab - I really love 3, 6 and 7.
And your wee ones couldn't be any cuter if they tried!

  • Emily replied 8 years ago

I love how classic, polished and ladylike you are in 3 and 4. I am also totally jealous of your jacket in 7, and your adorable kiddos. They are so precious in those skeleton jammies!

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it" -- Amen! I think I should do more of this, too. Sorry you're so busy, but yay for having these fab ready-made outfits to turn to to make life a little easier.

Love you in those saturated colors! Cute little ones too - nice that they are so cuddly with each other.

Great outfits Natalie!! I think my favorite is #3, although they are all fab. And your children are adorable.

When you look great, no change is needed!

Natalie: Everyone needs tried and true combinations, particularly during weeks that test our stamina! 4 and 7 are my favs, but I would wear every one of these outfits without needing to tweak a thing (except, um, the size)! The shoes really elevate these outfits, too!

  • Amy replied 8 years ago

Wonderful outfits all of them. I really love that white/black trench.

Such adorable babies! Now I know where Nicoleb got the idea for her swimsuit! I love your ouftifs from this past week Natalie, and you are superwoman to keep the work schedule you do and look so fab. Outifts 3 and 5 are my absolute faves cuz I love me a print!

  • Ana replied 8 years ago

Fabulous outfits, Natalie! You have demure bombshell down! Beautiful style. I can't pick a favorite because I love them all. Maybe #4 because I love the shoes! ; )

Thanks everyone for the kind boosts! It really helps. Today was brutal, I barely got home from work just in time to tuck the kids into bed. Manidipa, I've brought the kids to my office before, because their dentist is right across the street so I bring them by to say hello after their checkups. The nurses and staff totally love seeing the kiddos!

And yes, I'm relying on the tried and true because I'm too tired to be creative...I'm on fashion autopilot right now! We're going to SoCal on Friday--right after work we're going to drive down so probably won't get there till 3 am. And going to SD zoo all day the next day. Ugh, I am sooo tired already! I don't even know if I'll have enough time to pack. I had thought about doing a "travel capsule" but it's probably going to be just my usual casual travel clothes (jeans and hoodie/fleece), since I'll probably be packing at the last minute again and have no energy to think about it.
