WIW 6/21: Denim pencil miniskirt dressed up for work

I haven't worn this denim pencil skirt since last fall I think. And pencil skirts (especially above the knee) are hard to wear for MOTG (although I may try it with leggings underneath for MOTG). What do you think, can I successfully wear this skirt to work? Is this considered a miniskirt? This combination is new too. I'm having fun shopping my closet!

I love this outfit - you look great! I'm thinking you don't have a "no denim" dress code in your line of work so definitely do this look.

This totally works Natalie - great reworking of your denim skirt and I love that jacket and blouse together.

You look incredible. But again, it is your purses that take my breath away.

Love it! I think leggings or tights with boots would make this a nice MOTG option for cooler weather (well, like today for example lol).

Haven't you done well great way to wear a denim skirt or work.

    Chic, modern and young!

Great outfit Natalie! The skirt isn't mini, and the length looks fine for work to me as long as denim is OK. Love this combo, the dressy blouse looks so good with the denim!

This looks great! In fact I'm bookmarking to copy!

That's a great work outfit -- nice job making denim look "professional." And no, your skirt is not what I would consider a mini :)

  • CocoLion replied 11 years ago

Natalie, PULEEZE wear more skirts this length. This is not a mini. And since you don't have to be athletic at work, I don't see a problem. You have such amazing legs and beautiful knees, it's a shame to hide them.

As for MOTG, it all depends if you have to do a lot of bending forward. Leggings may provide more freedom and mobility and worry-free dressing for MOTG mode.

Love the look so much I plan to copy it! I have that same blouse though I've rarely worn it, a dark denim pencil skirt, and a similar jacket in a more wheaty shade of yellow. I must pin this so I remember to try it in the fall with tights.

Every time I look at your outfit posts I realize that I need to get myself at least one great bag.

Completely appropriate. Skilfully paired. The result is wonderful and perfect.

I think the outfit looks great. I have a denim pencil skirt I wear all the time to work. The length of yours is definitely not mini but for MOTG, I think leggings would work.

  • jayne replied 11 years ago

Oh I love every piece here. The blouse is such wonderful colors and the shoes are like my dream shoes. It looks all perfect together, matchy, but not too much! lovely

  • replied 11 years ago

Really nice. I think the skirt works.

  • goldenpig replied 11 years ago

Thanks everyone! Good to know it's not a miniskirt--I guess I'm so used to midi length that it feels like a mini to me, LOL!

Ooh, love this Natalie! I love the bright yellow and the pussy bow blouse.
