WIW 6/5: Black, fuchsia & orange dress + sneakers and matching running gear

I forgot to link to the sneakers blog post on my earlier thread with my dress plus aqua sneakers. So here's another set with my fuchsia and orange sneakers. Wore this dress and sneakers combo to work and everyone was tickled pink. I like the combo of ladylike dress and pink phone case, sporty purse and sneakers, and edgy/tough leather and watch. It was so comfy to wear sneakers all day at work and it feels so fun and fresh to wear sneakers instead of pumps!

Also here is my fuchsia and orange running outfit. I love doing matchy matchy colors not just for my regular outfits, but even my gear! Even the jogging bra matches! I also found a water bottle that has an attached handle to hold and a pocket for the phone and key. It's perfect for what I need to carry. Last week I ran 1 mile each time. This week I started running a little farther (about 1.5 miles) and go to this big rock at the end of the trail that is a nice goal--once I reach that I turn around and run back. It takes me about 20 minutes. I'm not very fast (I have some mild asthma when I exercise) but hopefully will keep improving. My goal is to try to run three times a week.

My eye is still adjusting to athletic sneakers with a dress but you make it look intentional with the color matching. I'm taking notes.
Kudos for doing your running. Your route looks pretty.

Ooh, one of my favorite color combos! It's so happy and it looks great on you. This member of Team Orange loves the color of the bag as well!

(And, turns out my runners are also in that general colorway. :))

Okay, this entire time...years...I've been wearing running shoes every waking hour due to foot problems, I've never been able to look fab in them. I would never have considered wearing them with a dress, much less matching colors, and definitely never got compliments. Cause I wasn't as creative and brave as you are!

I wish I had seen this pictures 5 years ago!

What a place to run/hike I love the fuchsia and orange together in the print of the dress and the shoes. Very very cute. I thought of you last Friday when I went out to dinner with DH, I did not post the outfit but I paired a zebra print jacket with zebra print shoes. I was quite pleased with my GP inspiration. :-)

Adorbs. Advice on running: don't add too much mileage too soon. Your muscles and joints need to acclimate. Often your muscles/joints and cardio progress at different levels, tricking you into overdoing too soon and suddenly, you're injured. Bulid in rest days and gradually ramp up your distance in increments. Congrats on this fun journey.

Fantastic!!! You are so adorable. I just love your enthusiasm. Way to have fun with fashion.

Peri, it's a sneaker moment. Five years ago it wouldn't have worked, but it will work now, so I say, milk it for all you've got!!! Have fun and treat your feet well.
