WIW 6/6--80's redux: suit plus sneakers

I couldn't get a good pic of this outfit because DS2 would NOT let me put him down when I got home. But it was fun wearing this work outfit with sneakers. Kind of like the modern, slightly edgier version of the '80's power suit with sneakers. Found a really funny post on that 80's trend, complete with Sex and the City flashback version (#8).

OK this workout outfit is not the greatest, but I thought you would find it funny. This hoodie is an oldie but goodie...love the "Catfight Champ" on the back and the cat ears on the hood. And I encountered this little guy while running, which made me feel better that at least I'm not the slowest thing on the trail!

    So much to love in this post, and I have to begin with your catfight sweatshirt, which is just fantastic! I think I would be motivated to run just to wear it. Love it. The sneakers are great and the Sex and the City reference is perfect, although I think we are doing sneakers much better these days.

    The suit-and-sneakers look never completely went away where I am. But your version looks way better than most I've seen on the Metro! (Where, frankly, no one would really bat an eye at someone wearing something along the lines of that Miranda flashback.) Love the kitty hoodie too.

    Viva, I think the 80's were ridiculous and fabulous at the same time. It's great to see elements of it coming back in fashion now. Speaking of SATC, how fabulous is this collection of typical 80's outfits!
    Alicat, I knew I'd find some kindred kitty-wear lovers!
    Aubergine, how fun that people are still wearing the suit and sneakers look. I've now realized how comfy it is to wear sneaks! I don't even have to think about my feet all day!

    Wow, I never even consider wearing my sneakers but for working out! You pull this off so well, it's really no-nonsense, like Miranda :) Your son is so cute I could eat him (but I won't :))!

    I don't think you will ever get me on board with the sneakers-with-work-outfit thing, but from the ankles up you look fab!!

    And I love the workout ensemble!  THAT is the way to wear those sneaks!  ;)
