WIW 7/17-18: Max meets Milu and Flo meets Scarlet

OK, since some of you said you prefer less verbiage and fewer pictures of each outfit, let's try the streamlined version. Do you prefer this concise style, or my usual verbose pic- and detail-heavy WIWs?
1. MOTG. Jason Wu for Target Milu T shirt and Kut Diana red skinny jeans (had to change right after when DS had a blowout on me...fortunately I also had a pair of Old Navy Rockstar red skinnies, so I was still good to go!) Max loved my cat T-shirt!
2. Work. Normally I'd wear my matching Kate Spade Florence Broadhurst Japanese Floral Austin sheath dress and purse together, but I wanted to try pairing it with my new red purse this time. (Sorry, I just realized that "Flo meets Scarlet" sounds a bit vulgar, LOL!) Do you prefer it with a pop of red, or matchy matchy as in #3?
Thanks for your comments and feedback welcome as always!

I see Ms. Scarlet's CPW is dropping lower and lower. :)

How lucky that you had a second pair of red pants to deal with the blowout!  Until you mentioned wiping spitup off your blouse with baby wipes a week or so ago, I had wondered how you managed to keep your clothes so pristine with a newborn.  Now I know that you deal with the same hiccups as anyone else but you just have good strategies to handle them.

I really enjoy the second outfit with the pop of red, just as a change from matchy matchy.  Matchy matchy is still more interesting/fashion forward/head turning to my eye.

The concise style is definitely faster/easier to read for me and would make it easier for me to comment when I'm in a rush/have a short attention span.  The more verbose posts where I have to flip back and forth between descriptions and photos take more time.  Of course it is nice sometimes to see the details, especially of accessories and read your thought process.  I don't have a real preference for either style of post, but you would get more total comments from me or someone like me with concise posts.

I like the red outfit a lot, and hyper matchy matchy is always fun, but your new imagining is good too!

Love 1 for a casual outfit. It's got colour and texture and interest - perfect!
I think 2 is better with the red bag. That pop of colour is great with your dress.

I think they are all fabulous,
The pop of red is fun and the matching bag ..........smart and sophisticated.
    I need a cat t shirt just like yours......love it :)

I really like your casual outfit.

Very cute cat t-shirt outfit! I love it with the red jeans.

I prefer the floral dress with Miss Scarlet! The pop of red is such a nice contrast with the black and white. but I'm not an ALGO person, so I usually choose the simpler versions of things.

As far as format, honestly either way is OK with me. I have never minded longer posts with lots of pictures, and I really DO enjoy hearing all about the thought process that goes into your outfits. So I'd say just do whatever your natural inclination is and don't worry about it.
I'm just happy to see your great WIWs!

(snickering a little over Flo and Scarlet...)

1 is really cute. Of the other two, I like 2 with the pop of red best, but both are great looks

  • Adelfa replied 10 years ago

Yes, 1 is adorable! I think both dress outfits look GREAT but for some reason I really like the matchy one.

The concise post is quite a bit easier for me to take in. But I agree with Parsley, do what you want!

The casual outfit is very attractive and, while I'm all for matchy matchy I can't imagine not wanting to sport Miss Scarlet with everything.
Those pointy toed pumps are divine.
Natalie, I do so want you to write what feels authentic to you.I learn so much from this grand conversation we are having, from those who say much and from those who say little.

1 is very cute. 3 is beautiful. You should post how you like to.

You are cracking me up! You son has a blowout, Flo and Scarlet....

And we both have kitties named Max!

Love both the outfits. Scarlet adds such a dash of vibrancy to Flo.

Post the way that works for you. It's all good.

I'm a matchy-matchy type, but I love Miss Scarlet so prefer #2 as well as the shoes.  The other is fine too; depends on your mood that day.
