I felt very J Crew-ish in this crazy combo. Does this work or is it too ALGO? I wore this to work, not sure if it's too much. People seemed to like the outfit though, especially the sweater. Bonus pic with my mom who was visiting.

It is algo but I think you nailed it. I think the proportions work very well here. I also think the lighter buttondown serves to ground the outfit. Actually, the plaid pants and the buttondown almost work as solids..their pattern is gentle enough to let the loud sweater shine. I really, really, like this.YLF!

This is great! JayS is right--the pants knd of melt into the background letting the sweater shine. It's a great outfit on you.

For me, it is too much, what with all the patterns, and the angles of the collar and cuffs of the shirt peeking out. My eye doesn't know where to land.
Take this with a grain of salt as I am much more a minimalist! Love the pic with your mom!

Beautiful Mom and Daughter photo. I like the sweater and the skinnies but my eye wants to see less of the shirt tails... maybe one with a shorter, curved hem?... the pattern mixing is fab and so you.
