WIW 8/16 & 8/17: Neutrals (Swap jacket and old wrap dress)

Gotta run to work but here's a quick pair of WIWs:

1-2. Classiques Entier black and white patterned belted jacket from OC swap
Gap black tank
Classiques Entier black pencil skirt with leather trim
Clarks red T strap pumps
Fossil red satchel
WHBM necklace

3-7. Banana Republic wrap dress
Fossil chevron stripe satchel
Christian Dior necklace
Clarks brown twist strap pumps (I haven't worn these shoes with this dress before, but really like how it echoes the pattern on the dress)

The red bag and shoes, wrap dress, CD necklace, and brown shoes are all super old--predating YLF by at least a decade! And the swap jacket looks like something I would have picked out for myself! Yay for old closet faves and new to me swap clothes! Thanks for looking and commenting!

So pretty, Natalie. I agree with you about the shoes and dress - lovely echo! Love your swap jacket, too.

Oh my - I love that BR wrap dress on you! Fit is beautiful and I adore the pattern. Very clever how the shoes echo the pattern. And of course, the Fossil handbag is the icing on the cake.

That swap jacket is great on you!

These are great! I love that wrap dress! It look very current to my eye!

Love the jacket on you! It came from my BFF and I was so tempted to keep it, but decided it was too similar to my KS jacket so brought it along to the swap. I'm glad I did because it is quite clearly in its proper "forever home!" LOL

Both looks are fab! Love that you are wearing MaryK's BFF's jacket :).

Great outfits. I really like your Clark's. I have one pair of black pumps but yours are much more stylish. Are they comfy too?

P.s. love your toy train ;) my closet is the most popular place for stray toys.

Natalie, you have so honed in on your style that everything you post these days looks wonderful, even when you're working with a pre-YLF item from your closet. Both outfits look amazing and very current. How does it feel to join the ranks of those whose name gets attached to a certain look-- as in, that style looks so "Natalie"! :)

I was also thinking that both looks are "so natalie" lol. Lovely and polished and just a little ladylike. Very nice!

I love that you said several of your pieces are quite a few years old. And yet the way you've put them together you look classic and fresh at the same time. Being true to your style and keeping good pieces that you love and that look good on you is such a great strategy. Who says we need to have new stuff all the time if we have wonderful clothes that make us look and feel great right in our closets? I particularly like both pair of shoes.

    What Christieanne said :)

I especially love you in that wrap dress and how you pattern mixed with the bag!

You look great in that wrap dress, Natalie. I had that same BR dress too, but never wore mine. The poor thing languished in my closet for years, until I finally consigned it. I have learned that wrap dresses are not my style, but they certainly are yours. I love it on you, and I'm so glad to see it represented so well.

Very nice. You have such a good handle on your style now, and it's clear you had similar tastes a decade ago with this fab dress!

I have a soft spot for that wrap dress. That's old BR. They used to have top of the line stuff. Don't get me wrong, I still buy lots from them. I can see MaryKs fabulosity extends to her friends, that blazer is fab!

You have a distinct style, and I love how it comes through from matching the bag/shoes and also through mixing the prints. Very nice!

    I love both--very sophisticated.
