WIW 8/28 Red polka dot + jeans: rockabilly or hillbilly?

Just catching up, haven't had a chance to post in a while. Work has been crazy, I've been on call four weeks out of the last two months. They have been piling up a full schedule of outpatient cases on me on top of my inpatient cases/rounding and phone calls to patients, so sometimes I don't even have a chance to pump all day (ouch!). Then I get home and feed and bathe and brush the kids and put them to bed around 8:30 (it takes that long to get all three in bed!). I usually fall asleep right after because I'm so tired, but then DS2 is waking up anywhere from 2-5 times a night to nurse or from reflux and DS1 is waking up 1-2 times a night because he's scared or wants me to fix his bedcovers. I am SO TIRED! Finally have a day off (yay!) but I have to pack because we're away this weekend. Anyhow, I just need a little break, so here are some outfits!

This is just a casual MOTG outfit with red polka dot top and boyfriend jeans. I was going for more of a vintage pinup/50's rockabilly/Betty Boop/Rosie the Riveter vibe (8-13). But when I wore this DH said he didn't like this shirt and started calling it the "hillbilly" shirt and said it was the kind of shirt they wear on Hee Haw (13). LOL! What do you think--rockabilly or hillbilly? And do you like it better tucked or untucked? Bonus pics of me taking DS to school!

H&M red and white polka dot blouse and triple heart necklace (for my 3 kids)
Kut Catherine slim boyfriend jeans
Worishofer red sandals
Chanel Ms. Scarlet
WHBM red snakeskin belt

I think you look great - no hillbilly to me. I'm wearing the same colors today - seems like red is the color of the day all around for some reason. I think I might slightly prefer the top tucked as I like your belt showing. And just look at those adorable smiles!

I like it both ways, tucked and untucked. And your outfit doesn't give me any rockabilly or hillbilly association. However, it'd be easy for you to use that top in either of those looks, depending on how you accessorize! BTW, love the red Worishofers with that outfit!

You are so adorable.  I can relate to feeling tired, but for different reasons.   Try running a small business/restaurant.  I don't have kids who wake me up but all my worries do.

I think you look great here.  But your DH got me thinking about the blouse.  Since I live in he haw land, here's my take on it. I think the blouse is cute and sort of country but not particularly polished.  The bag, OTOH, is extremely polished.  It's like you need one more element of polish to balance the casual elements and to work better with the Chanel bag.  Maybe a skirt?  Or, keep the outfit as is and go with a more casual bag.

You are a superhero, not a hillbilly. You look adorable, and I can't see how tired you must be at all. Red is beautiful on you. I've had three small kids like you once, and I know how tired one can become. Take care!

Definitely rockabilly - I live in the south, so I know from hillbilly! ;) Rockabilly is hillbilly's polished, rock 'n roll city cousin, so there is a link, but the styling (and general grooming LOL) keep you safe from the dreaded hillbilly vibe.

    Get some sleep!

Thanks Texstyle, Cathy, Denise, Ingunn, and Annie!
Tex, I love red too! It's such a happy color.
Cathy, I know it's not really rockabilly (it was more the inspiration though). I bought the red Worishofers after seeing Rae wear the gold ones. Sadly, they're too casual to wear to work.
Denise, I really feel for you and have been thinking of you. Glad you are safe from the fire, but worried about how it's affecting your business. Hope things get back to normal soon!
I know the bag is a bit too polished for the outfit, but it's my only red bag so it was pressed into service. :)
Ingunn, great that you survived three kiddos! There's light at the end of the tunnel.
    Annie, thanks for the comparison!

Um...your schedule makes mine look like a vacation.  I agree with CocoLion on the outfit.
