WIW 9/18-26: More non-maternity maternity outfits

So sorry--I have been so busy with work and the family I haven't been able to keep up with the forum lately. I've been so tired (I think even more so because of the pregnancy) I often fall asleep right after tucking the kids in bed (which is my normal YLF time). Thought I would post these WIWs anyways before I get too behind, and try to catch up on commenting on others' posts as soon as I get some more time and energy!

These are all still my usual non-maternity pieces, except for one pair of maternity jeans and a tank. Yay for wardrobe stretching, even at 17 weeks!

1. Foxcroft black and white polka dot button down blouse (from MaryK at OC swap)
Halogen yellow pencil skirt (can't believe I can still wear these)
Red bow belt
Red WHBM purse
Red SW ballet flats (I've been wearing more flats lately to keep my feet comfy)
Black and white earrings

2-3. Ancient (at least 15 yr old) Jessica Howard jungle print dress from Macy's with keyhole neck. Works for maternity because of the empire waist.
Timberland Stratham Heights cognac boots
Fossil floral satchel
F21 bronze cuff

4-5. WHBM ink blue jacket (OK I know this looks ridiculous with the belly bulge poking out and I really should put it away, but it's my favorite so I went for it one last time!)
Anne Fontaine double collar white button down
Anthro Liquid Acres patterned pencil skirt
Bronze Born flats
Kate Spade turquoise jewel clutch
WHBM blue crystal bracelet

6-8. Ralph Lauren blue floral dress from TJ Maxx (what a great non-maternity maternity dress!)
WHBM blue cardigan
Clarks Woodward WIllows nude wedge sandals
Jason Wu for Target straw and navy purse
WHBM blue crystal bracelet

9-10. Banana Republic black and brown ribbon pattern wrap dress
Gap black maternity tank
H&M black tights
Frye Melissa black lace-up boots
Fossil striped satchel
Christian Dior V necklace

11. Kut from the Kloth Catherine boyfriend jeans (sized up so they still fit--in fact they are still sliding down!)
Bailey 44 black and white striped tank (B44 is a great "maternity" line with all their stretchy pieces!)
INC red waterfall cardigan
Dotty
Red Converse

12. Laundry pink and black faux wrap dress
Black Gap maternity tank
Dotty
Clark black mary jane pumps

13-15. DD picked both my and her outfit today! She asked me to wear the purple sweater and then picked her whole entire outfit to match mine without any input from me. I am impressed with her color coordination and pattern mixing skills! All of the clothes she picked were different brands and yet they all go together. She is only 5 and already a little fashionista. Here we are at her school this morning in our coordinating outfits.
Anthro Golden Gate purple poncho
Missoni for Target floral button down blouse
Gap Maternity Always Skinny jeans (though they're still a bit loose and tend to slide down a bit)
Dotty
Frye Melissa black boots
DD is wearing a Missoni for Target purple and pink striped capelet, Tea Collection ikat patterned purple and pink tunic dress, Hanna purple leggings, purple and pink striped socks and Tsukihoshi sneakers with hot pink trim.

16. Bonus pic of DD in her Belle princess dress-up outfit. She is learning to play chess at her school so we are practicing at home. Max the cat is concentrating very hard trying to figure out his next move.

Wow! You look absolutely fantastic in all of these. I swear, there should be a special "YLF" webpage for YLF'ers looking super fab while pregnant. I wish that I'd been able to see great ideas like these (and Scarlet's too) when I was putting together my maternity wardrobe. You look gorgeous and totally cool. (And love the princess and cat!)

Stunning! Even the simplest of outfits #2/3 looks sleek and fab due to your awesome bag and polished boots. DD is TOO cute. I never got the hang of chess - I was the only "nerd kid" who couldn't play well.

  • Jenava replied 11 years ago

You are cute as a button! The dresses are especially pretty and work great on you. Love the chess pic. (-:

I daresay you are hitting a new style stride with the coming of Fall - you are in your element! Either that or Baby is going to be one heck of a fashionista/fashionisto. Very happy you are getting your rest, even though we miss you.

P.S. Our cat does the same thing when we play Settlers of Catan!

Such style for "maternity" wear. You look great! You are a true inspiration to moms to be.

Way to work that wardrobe Natalie! I am blown away by your mixing and matching of your current pieces that will accommodate your sweet baby bump. Every single one of these outfits works brilliantly and you look fab!

There's no need to apologize for not being around as much - my goodness, I don't know how you manage it at all! Rest is much more important - we'll wait for you :)

So who won the match - DD or kitty?

  • KathyL replied 11 years ago

Oh my goodness, your DD is adorable! I am very impressed by her color coordinating with you and her pattern mixing. Princess Belle playing chess with the cat is precious.

And you are glowing! I love the first outfit with the cute little red bow above your belly. The dresses are great too. I am still impressed by how you are still in non-maternity clothes. Very nice!

Natalie, you are the most stylish mom to be I've ever seen! I especially loved 11 & 13; such a edgy, but flattering look. And those pictures of your daughter are beyond cute, especially when she color coordinates her outfits to match yours. You are both adorable.

    You look spectacular!! ;)

  • Jaime replied 11 years ago

You could be a pregnancy model in these. Love the picture of your daughter playing your cat!

  • Parsley replied 11 years ago

I'm SO impressed at how well you're making your non-maternity clothes work for you!
And that way you won't be so sick of your actual maternity clothes by the end of your pregnancy, which is a real plus. I bet some of these will be wearable just about to the end- like the B44 top. Does your orange B44 dress still work for you, too?

Your daughter is too adorable for words!!

  • Angie replied 11 years ago

I have seldom seen people carry as beautifully as you, Natalie - Scarlet is right up there with you too.

WOW!!! You are one rocking killer pregnant Mama :)

    Hilarious last photo!!

  • Kate replied 11 years ago

Nathalie, you have to be the best dressed pregnant woman on the planet. You look fab! I cracked up when I saw the last photo; that is too cute for words. LIttle girls and kitties are a hard combo to beat. Looks like kitty is seriously contemplating his/her next move.

  • Sona replied 11 years ago

GP: just had to comment that I too feel you have hit your style stride and it is amazing to watch. love every single outfit and pic.

  • Scarlet replied 11 years ago

Just amazing. These are all a visual feast, and so is DD's outfit, frankly. Last photo is so funny.

  • jayne replied 11 years ago

amazing you have the energy for looking fab! come by when you can...we understand!

  • san replied 11 years ago

Very sweet photos. Thankyou for sharing. What a special time in your life.

  • ramya replied 11 years ago

GP hats off. I have not seen any 1 looking as beautiful as you when pregnant!!!

And kitty and DD are so adorable.

  • CocoLion replied 11 years ago

I agree with Angie -- you carry beautifully. So I love the bump emphasizing looks the most. Like the bf jeans outfit, and the stretchy dresses especially 2-3 the "old" dress and 6-8 the printed navy dress. Your last picture is hilarious!

  • Deborah replied 11 years ago

Natalie I hope you are feeling as fabulous as you are looking;)

  • Laurenlaurielala replied 11 years ago

    Your kids are so cute!

    You look just gorgeous. Glowing!

  • harmonica replied 11 years ago

Amazing, Natalie!! Beautiful, fab, vibrant, ladylike etc etc!

And I absolutely hear you on the pregnancy fatigue - it is overwhelming! All the best to all of you!

  • Kiwichik replied 11 years ago

Love how you are stretching ( no pun intended) your pre bump wardrobe - the wrap dresses look particularly good. Very impressed with DDs styling skills clearly runs in the family.

  • catgirl replied 11 years ago

You hot mama! I have to say, it's been amazing to see your style just blossom, and now be sweeping you right through pregnancy with such ease. Do you feel you've reached temporary closet nirvana, since you're probably taking a shopping break right now?

  • Echo replied 11 years ago

Amazing outfits. You always look fantastic, but I especially love outfits 2-3 and 11. You are such a gorgeous mama!
