What looks do you consider dated or "out"?

Sparked by Angie's post here:

I tried pulling out some of my 90's skirts and styling them with my modern pieces but apparently they still look dated:

So apparently bias cut above the knee printed skirts scream 90's and are super dated. I am curious to find out what else is considered dated or "out". This is slightly different from Angie's post where she asked what things you currently wear that aren't currently in fashion. This is more about what do you consider a fashion no-no because it looks dated.

My theory (although maybe MaryK is right about me clinging to the past) is that midi skirts are back in after they were popular in the 50's but then considered frumpy up until now, and now they're totally in fashion again. The 70's have had their big revival for the past few years, and now the 80's are just coming back in fashion (notice the neon and bright colors and tapered trousers all in this spring). So maybe the 90's are next in line and will come back in style in a few years. I think I'll save my favorite skirts till they're the height of fashion again! LOL!

What looks do you consider dated or "out" and why? Do you think they will ever come back in style?

WIW 5/31 & 6/1: Still trying to rescue my 90's skirts!

At Angie's request I pulled out one of my old 90's skirts, but the consensus was it looked dated:

Here are the last holdouts from my dwindling stash of 90's bias cut printed skirts (my old uniform). I'm pulling out all the stops! If all my best statement pieces can't rescue these skirts from the dreaded D word (dated), then there's no hope! What do you think?

I will say that like you all, I wasn't feeling the brown skirt so much, but these two outfits do feel very "new me" and still have fab potential in my mind...or am I just clinging to the past and it's time to move on?

1-3. Ann Taylor Loft blue floral skirt. Yes I know it's a ditsy floral which is "out", but I love the ruffly asymmetric high low hem.
White House Black Market ink blue jacket
Black H&M tank
Frye Melissa black lace up boots
Kate Spade grey croc tote
WHBM black and silver pendant

4-6. Ann Taylor black, cream and red swirly pattern skirt. DH hates this skirt (he hates geometric prints), I love it. It's one of my favorites. I like the bias cut and flirty hem--both of these skirts feel very feminine to me.
Tahari black leather jacket
Ann Taylor Loft reddish orange sleeveless mock turtleneck tank (yes it's kinda matchy matchy with the skirt but I love matchy matchy)
Chie Mihara rust suede sandals
Marc by Marc Jacobs Dotty Snake bag
