Burgundy hair--do I dare?

It sometimes takes me a while to find the time to schedule a cut and color as it usually takes at least 2.5-3 hours. Pic 12 is just after my last cut/color (which was in February, can't believe it's been 4 months already, yikes!). Pic 13 is one of the more recent ones showing how my hair has grown out a bit. I finally booked another cut/color appointment on Friday. So far when I've colored it no one can tell it's any different except the grays look more golden colored, and it's a semi permanent single color so it just gradually fades away. I've been tempted to do something a little more daring with my hair color and am attracted to doing something with more burgundy or black cherry highlights. Kinda letting my UWP persona come out a bit, but I still need to look professional. These are some of the pics I sent to my hairstylist. She warned me that if I change hair color it would involve bleaching and more frequent upkeep. What do you think--am I being crazy? Also, any thoughts on cut? She wants to get rid of my bangs but I'm kind of partial to them. Although they do get in the way when they get long. I'm thinking something like 14 for cut? I think I prefer the current longer length of 13 to 12 so probably not going to cut too much length off.

Thanks for your advice!

My daughter the advanced pattern mixer!

This was so cute I just had to share! DD is even more adventurous with her pattern mixing than I am! She picked this outfit out all by herself. Deux par deux raspberry and cream sweater coat, Tea collection yellow and pink floral dress, brown Hanna Andersson leggings, aqua and orange striped Baby Legs legwarmers and purple/pink/yellow Missoni for Target mittens. It's crazy ALGO but it works! And she and her brother are best buddies!

And as a bonus, I've unhidden the kid pics on my previous blog posts so you can see them again (I figured I already shared them, so why not). Enjoy!

My daughter the fashion critic!

Boy, my 4-year old daughter has been quite the fashion critic this week! I'm sure you guys have seen her comments on my recent WIW posts, but she has a new zinger every day!

Thursday she patted my apple tummy and said "Mommy, your tummy is round because me and baby stretched out your tummy and now it's always round. But that's OK."

Friday she saw me putting on my skirt and said "Mommy, you need some pants to go with your skirt" (because I always have her wear leggings under her skirts). I said "No, I'm just wearing the skirt." And she said, "But then when you twirl, everyone will see your underwear!"

Yesterday she said, "Mama, you always wear high heels and it makes a loud clop-clop-clop sound." And she asked me not to wear heels that day (so I wore my Converse instead of wedge sandals).

Then last night she saw me in my new lounge pants and said, "Mama, your butt looks like it just got bigger."

And today she announced at the dinner table, "Mommy buys too many clothes and she needs to stop!"

Ouch! I guess that means I am on SYC for a while! Her honest comments are really funny, but it's starting to hit too close to home! :(

PS--I wonder if DH bribed her to say that! ;P

ETA: Here's a couple pics of her in outfits she chose herself! She layered two tutus (yellow and pink) in the first pic. And she loves to try on my heels!
