WIW 3/5-3/9: Starring my newest little accessory!

Just wanted to share the happy news--baby GP is here! He was five days late, but came in a big hurry. I woke up with contractions 5 minutes apart and he was born after only 2.5 hours of labor--we made it to the hospital just in time! He weighed 8 lb 10 oz (beat his brother by 1 oz). We went home from the hospital the next day. Big brother and double big sister were so thrilled to meet their baby brother! He is so cute--lots of hair just like his sibs had, and he totally looks like a combination of the two of them. We all adore him and can't get enough of his snuggly cuteness!

I'm tired and a little sore, but there's no rest for the weary--baby has been nursing nonstop since he was born (today especially he's been literally glued to me the entire day!). Yesterday we took him to the doctor for his 2-day well check. Today we took DD to ballet and I made a little side trip to the "nursery" for some fresh flowers for the front door. Tomorrow it's back to the doctor's office for a weight check, swimming for the kids, and family celebration at home for DS's 3rd birthday with his two grandmas, aunt and cousins. So life goes on as usual...I guess that's what happens when you already have two very active kids...#3 just has to fit right in and go with the flow!

Since this is a fashion forum, more about my WIW's. I was feeling a little self-conscious about posting post-partum WIWs, but I figured what the heck, I've been posting nearly daily WIW's this whole pregnancy, so why not continue! I'm proud of my body and what it's accomplished, so I feel like it would be doing it a disservice to hide away now.

That said, I feel like I've been thrown for another huge loop in my fashion journey...just when I was getting used to dressing and showing off my baby bump, now it's gone, yet not really gone! I'm still left with a 20-week sized bump, with about 10 inches and 30 lbs over my baseline apple belly. I'm kind of sad I won't be able to celebrate my belly anymore (you have no idea how fun it was for an apple to finally be able to flaunt her belly for a change!) and have to resort to hiding it away again, lest I keep hearing questions about when am I due. Yesterday I tried on about 5 or 6 tops and I still looked quite pregnant in all of them. #9 was the best of the bunch and I was pretty happy with how well it disguised the belly. But even so, when I went to pick up DD at school another mom asked, "So when are you planning to get induced?" and I had to say, "Oh, the baby's already here--he's in the car with dad!" And my kids have been poking my belly and saying "Squishy mama!" and DS is still trying to talk to the baby in my belly. Oy. I know this is all normal and par for the course, but sheesh!

So yesterday when I was trying on shirt after shirt, I had one of those "oh crap, now what do I do about my wardrobe?" moments that I had when I first found out I was pregnant. I think 4th trimester dressing will be the most challenging, because I'll have to resort to my 1st trimester hide the bump tricks, but now I have a 2nd trimester bump to hide, LOL! Plus I have to make sure that whatever I wear is also nursing-friendly, which adds another layer of complexity. Most of my nursing tops from prior pregnancies are (and look like) maternity clothes so I don't want to wear those unless I really have to.

I don't feel like have a good handle yet on post-partum dressing--I haven't seen any early post-partum WIWs here or on blogs. It seems like people typically come back after 6 weeks or more looking like their regular self again...but I think it's going to take a bit longer for me to recover. I'm not worried about my weight or body--I know this is all normal and it'll work itself out eventually. Last two times I was back down to pre-pregnancy weight by 1 year, mainly thanks to breastfeeding. I can't diet while nursing (always hungry and have to keep up milk production), and honestly with work and the kids, exercising is a pretty low priority for me.

So I'm going to have to wing it with my postpartum style. It's going to be a good challenge for me to stay true to my style and still feel fab (instead of flab), but I'll try not to obsess too much about it...I'm having too much fun enjoying time with my newest little accessory! We are all over the moon with the newest addition to our family!

Natalie, a heartfelt congratulations. What a sweet little boy. And you look wonderful.

  • transition replied 11 years ago

    How awesome!

You're the one who brought me here, and I can't believe I get to be one of the first to reply!

He's adorable. I love #5, #8 brought tears to my eyes, and #12 made me smile.

I'm also an apple, and for the first few months I tried not to go anywhere without the baby, not only because I loved her, but because on the rare occasion I got out, I was always asked when I was due.

It took near two years for me to stop getting the question, and I still have a rather large belly to hide. I lost the weight, and my doctors say there's not much I can do to reduce my belly except wait, so I've always found your styling suggestions very helpful. I will look forward to your continued WIWs, and especially the ones with that wonderful show-stealing accessory [although the Kate Spade tries!]

  • replied 11 years ago

Congrats!! He's beautiful. And you still look amazing. Don't worry, that belly will sort itself out soon.

  • Raisin replied 11 years ago

Congrats! What a beauty he is! You look great, and I love your new polka dot diaper bag. Rest up and enjoy!

ETA - I had to add, my DS was in LOVE with my belly for the first month or 2 after. He loved the "squishy belly" as well, I laughed at your description. Try not to let it bother you, it will be a distant memory before you know it. You look truly fantastic already!

  • Ornella replied 11 years ago

    Too. Cute. For. Words.

Congratulations and I wish you all every happiness and good health.

    p.s.
You look too good to even spare one doubting thought how to dress in the 4th semester.

  • Claudia replied 11 years ago

Congratulations to you all! He's gorgeous, and what a big boy! Well done Natalie and Mr. GP.

Picture #8 is a prize winner. Beautiful children.

  • Vildy replied 11 years ago

What a lovely happy family! Thank you so much for posting all the pix. You do look great and I love the giddy sophistication of the polka dot diaper bag.

You've got me weeping over here! What a beautiful, happy family. Your style is fantastic, and I know how uncomfortable 4th trimester dressing is! I have 4 kids and nursed them all. My last two are twins and I rarely left the house for the first 6 months - LOL so style wasn't much of a problem.

For nursing, at home I always just wore a v-neck t-shirt and yanked it down when it was time to nurse. When out I favored a little layering. I'm not one to put a sheet over baby's head. I'm feeding my baby and if ya don't like it then go somewhere else. I found that a knit shirt with an unbuttoned shirt over it (or blazer or something) allowed pretty comfortable nursing without feeling uncovered. Also, I made really good use of (and still do!) the BeBand. They're designed to allow you to wear your regular pants and skirts longer, but I find that they give you a little extra layer of coverage when you're lifting your shirt to nurse. I still wear them tucked in to make sure I don't expose my back when I'm bending over (which I'm *always* doing with my toddlers, and I'm sure you are too!)

    Congratulations! He is so cute.

  • Mander replied 11 years ago

Aww, you and your family are just so cute! I'm glad that it seems to have been a fairly easy delivery.

I wouldn't worry too much about still looking pregnant or people asking when you are due -- if anyone says anything, just laugh it off and say "oh, that's just post-baby belly, he was born last week!" or something like that. People can be so rude about asking really personal questions of pregnant women, don't feel shy about making them feel a little embarrassed for asking!

  • krishnidoux replied 11 years ago

Congratulations Natalie! Welcome GP! I can't believe how good and composed you look after such a short time post-partum! (Just in line with how good you looked throughout the whole pregnancy). Yes, I am crying too. Such a beautiful, beautiful family. Big brother looks absolutely thrilled in every pic! Just look at him in 13, reaching protectively for his bro. I bet he must be so happy to get a new companion. Pic 12 is SO adorable! And with your studded bracelet in the background too! These are wonderful pics to be kept forever and will make for outstanding memory pieces.

Thank you for sharing them with us. Bless you guys!

  • Inge replied 11 years ago

Huge congratulations, to you and your family Natalie!!! What a beautiful baby boy!
I can imagine it takes a little time to get used to dressing your new fab bod, but you are looking super stylish, as always, truly!

Thank you for sharing your happy news with us!

  • chouette22 replied 11 years ago

Wow, he is finally here. Congratulations, what a beautiful addition to your family! Yes, I totally understand that dressing is going to be a challenge for a while, but you have figured out such challenges so incredibly well before that I am sure you'll be adjusting your wardrobe to your changing body in no time at all.

    You look amazing!

  • replied 11 years ago

Natalie you continue to amaze me, you are looking as beautiful as ever, and on day 2 post partum, WOW,
Congratulations on your little addition there, he is adorable. #8 is one of my favorites too. Great match on the KS bag, perfect.
Thank you so much for sharing!

  • Krista replied 11 years ago

Congratulation, Natalie! He is gorgeous! All of these pictures are fantastic and show all of the love in your family. As well, you look amazing - what baby belly?!? - I only see one fantastic looking mama! :)

  • Traci replied 11 years ago

    Wow! Cuteness overload!

I'm just madly in love w/ #'s 9 and 11. It's like you just don't even miss a beat. I love seeing your wiw with the new babe in your arms.

    Congratulations!

  • harmonica replied 11 years ago

awww - *tears in my eyes* such sweet and adorable kids and both you and DH look gorgeous! Love reading your story - thanks for sharing! Congrats!

I hear you on post partum wear. I was really, really unfashionable for years, but I'm sure you'll figure out all the hows and whats to wear. Seems like you have a positive take on the body change, nursing and everyday life too :-) Ergo carrier are great! I wore my two youngest sons (mostly mei tai and shawl carriers) almost all the time. I felt proud, happy, cuddly, bonding, caring and practical at the same time :-)

Please take care and don't be hard on yourself if you can't keep up the fashion standard all the time. Your bay boy and family are first priority for a while and that takes lots and lots of energy. I'm sending all the best vibes across the planet.

  • Irene replied 11 years ago

God, you don't look like you just gave birth at all. So energetic, strong and beautiful!!! Beautiful children as well, what a sweet family :)

  • missvee replied 11 years ago

Congratulations! So glad you are both well. I hope you get an enlargement of pic 8 because it's just wonderful.
Thanks for posting and letting us see the new man in your life.

  • Jaime replied 11 years ago

Wow! Congratulations on your newest little one! I felt for you with your story - after I gave birth to my twins some helpful young women said I still looked 9 mos. pregnant (not that it wasn't true). But then I saw your pictures and you look wonderful! The black polka dots are fabulous looking for a new mother or anyone - super amazing as you put it all together on no sleep!

  • deb replied 11 years ago

Congratulations!!! You look wonderful and the new little one is so cute!

  • Jjsloane replied 11 years ago

Congratulations - so happy all are well. He's beautiful and you are a super stylish MOTG.

  • Kalli replied 11 years ago

Amazing! You all are such a beautiful and stylish family. Happiness brimming here will overcome all the 4th trimester blues!

  • Karie replied 11 years ago

First, congratulations! Your newest accessory is the best ever! Your entire family is gorgeous, and I love pic #8. The top you are wearing in your going home pic is beautiful, and it will hide that belly bulge - I think you will get a lot of wear out of this. The belly should disappear soon enough - sounds like you are getting a lot of exercise with all the running around you are doing!

I look forward to seeing how you meet your new wardrobe challenge!

  • ruthe replied 11 years ago

Oh happy day. I've been waiting to hear your good news and we got pictures also!
I think most people mean well even when they say something that comes across in a negative way. Ignore if you can. You look so good and you just glow. Gosh, I'm so happy for you.

  • Diana replied 11 years ago

    Congratulations, Natalie!!!!

You look amazing. Seriously. I can NOT believe you had a baby three days ago and already look that good. (Not to mention how active you already are... Hello, Superwoman!)

  • replied 11 years ago

Ohhh! congratulations Natalie and family! What wonderful pictures. Thank you for sharing your lovely news. I'm so glad all went well and you are fine. You new addition is absolutely adorable! Such cute photos and you look as stylish as ever. Don't worry about your figure just carry on doing the best you can for little one and all will come right in the end.

  • replied 11 years ago

Mazel tov!!! You look radiant and your family is gorgeous! How cute is the newest little one? Totally adorable!

  • Janet replied 11 years ago

Congrats! So adorable! He is precious, as are your other children (photo #8 is a total heart warmer). You look wonderful!

  • Parsley replied 11 years ago

Congratulations, Natalie, on your beautiful new son! He is so precious and perfect!
The whole family seems to be beaming about the new addition. I do hope you will enlarge and frame #8- that's a memory to preserve forever.

But good grief, you are Superwoman! He's only a few days old and you are out and about doing so many things. I do hope that you'll allow yourself to take it easy a little and just enjoy your sweet snuggly new babe. Please let your husband do some of the errands, and let your relatives do the cooking and wait on you at your family celebration!
Sorry, this grandma/ mom/ former lactation consultant/ fellow physician just couldn't help giving that unsolicited advice. :-)

You do look AMAZING for just having given birth. You're already looking so polished and fashionable. Just don't worry about your belly- it will snap back in no time, and meanwhile the strategies you used in your early months of pregnancy are already serving you well now.

I'm so happy for you, and for your whole family! Again, heartiest congratulations!
    Marcy

Congrats, Natalie and family! The baby is the cutest ever. You are all so adorable in the photos, and #8 is the most precious pic I've seen in ages. You look radiant, and I can't believe how you manage to - having three children in a row like that takes a lot of energy. I'm in awe. All the best for you and your family in this poignant time in your lives.

  • cheryle (Dianthus) replied 11 years ago

  • replied 11 years ago

Oh my goodness you make the cutest babies Natalie! What I wouldn't give to hold that little punkin for a few minutes!

It IS awkward when you are out without the baby post-partum. I remember looking pregnant still as well. Most of the time you will have baby and all of his paraphernalia so hopefully you won't get asked that question again.

I for one am amazed at your style quotient right after delivery! Heeled booties and a skirt? Are you kidding me? Thank you for filling a need for after-baby fashion examples. I'm sure a lot of new/nursing moms will be inspired by your ideas about how to put practical, comfortable outfits together that don't leave out the style! Congratulations, and may he sleep well at night for you!

  • Nicole D replied 11 years ago

You are remarkable. I have never seen such a stylish Squishy Mama. I think I wore PYJAMAS for the first three months.
GP is gorgeous, perfect, adorable, everything a newborn should be! My two sons are close in age (2 years( and they are the best of friends, even sharing a bed every night). And they have a protective and doting big sister as well.
Enjoy this precious time and do get some sleep when you can!

How wonderful and exciting. I would say he is not an accessory but rather an essential.

    CONGRATULATIONS !

  • Angie replied 11 years ago

CONGRATS!!! You, your new babe, the kids and hubs are radiant :). I can't believe you had a baby, have two small kids, work full time - AND POSTED THIS THREAD. You are officially better than Wonder Woman. I am in awe of you. You are a killer beautiful Mum of three.

Natalie, give it a little time. Your bod will spring back. It's early days. I popped clients into banded tops at this stage after pregnancy. Empire cuts were taboo because they tend to make you look pregnant again.

  • Suz replied 11 years ago

Oh, Natalie - he is ADORABLE!!!! Such a sweetie, and I love the photos of the family together. What a happy occasion for you all.

I am completely amazed at you, though - already up and dressed to your YLF standards! I think you seriously should publish a little booklet on pregnancy and post-partum style. That skirt with the diaper bag is pure matchy-matchy brilliance! I love how you are able to stay true to your style even in the midst of this upheaval. And what a great purchase that skirt was.

  • replied 11 years ago

Congratulations! What a beautiful little guy!

You look amazing for being post-partum ... seriously, I think it's because you're actually making an effort with your clothing. I looked horrible for weeks, but I also wore yoga pants. Love your accepting attitude about your body and what it's accomplished. Best wishes to you and your family!

  • Susie replied 11 years ago

Oh my goodness, Natalie, you are amazing!! Truly, to be looking so fabulous just days after childbirth is remarkable. Congratulations on your beautiful baby boy! He is so precious. I just love the picture with him and his darling brother and sister.

You were so stylish all through your pregnancy and I have no doubt that you will continue to be so in the coming months as your body changes again.

And I'm so glad you got the dotty diaper bag- it is SO perfect for you!

Best wishes to you and your gorgeous family!

  • Mochi replied 11 years ago

Aww, happy birth day! (And moving forward from there.) What a beautiful baby and that pic of him and his sibs is priceless! It's so wonderful reading about your lovely family...and seeing how you manage to dress so well even with these challenges.

The only thing that startles me a bit is your activity level so immediate following pregnancy and childbirth....please don't feel you have to be superwoman!

    You all are fab.

I can't believe how you are hitting the ground running post-partum! When my baby #3 arrived (just days before Christmas), I think I just stayed home and only did what I could from the house for about 4 weeks. You are amazing! (But be sure you don't burn yourself out. . .)

That KS diaper bag is awesome - and I love the matchy matchy with your skirt :-)

Mazel Tov! You look great and the baby is so handsome!

I strongly recommend long flowy scarves to hide the tummy (don't tie them, just let them flow down infront of you) and then you can use them for extra coverage when nursing if you need it.

  • lyn* replied 11 years ago

Many Congratulations, Natalie - and wow; what a stylin' momma you are! Your diaper bag matches your skirt!!! <3

I so look forward to hearing about your new additions' adventures; and how kind of you to still be up and about taking care of the other children! :) I bet they must love their new little brother very much!

Sounds like he is busy trying to help you get your body back with all that nursing. You really DO look great! I love your going home outfit and #9. I didn't even think about getting into "real" clothes until at least 6 weeks, but really more like 6 months. Impressive! Enjoy your newest addition.

  • Day Vies replied 11 years ago

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! He's so darn cute! And so are you. I know you are trying to wade through trying to put your style back together post baby bump but you look wonderful even if you don't feel it. I know you will figure it out even if you make "mistakes" that's part of the process. You are such an inspiration. Thank you for posting!

  • Transcona Shannon replied 11 years ago

CONGRATULATIONS!!! Oh Natalie - your new little bundle of joy is adorable and what a beautiful and happy looking family. You are truly amazing and beautiful :)

  • catgirl replied 11 years ago

AAAAAAAAH! I went to our cabin for the weekend and this is what I missed!?! What a beautiful bundle of snuggliness you have, and your whole family is just glowing.

As for what to wear, you should just wear that peacock top every day. :) No, seriously, if you want to look at your pre-baby pics, your style quotient the whole way was so beyond fab, you can draw inspiration from yourself. No one is going to ask if you're pregnant when you are carrying a newborn, after all, and you will soon be back in the swing of regular dressing. But your maternity style was so fantastic, I don't see why it couldn't continue....

Congratulations and please feel free to post all the baby pictures you want.

  • DonnaF replied 11 years ago

Congratulations! What an adorable baby! Actually, that goes for all of you. You certainly don't look like you just gave birth, but please don't overdo it. I got exhausted just reading about your hectic life. Gotta love that KS diaper bag though.

  • AJ replied 11 years ago

GP, I don't know HOW you do it! Your mama style quotient is through the roof!

I was so frumpy during my pregnancies and couldn't even think about looking stylish for the first 6 months postpartum!

You have such great options in your closet, I know you'll come up with stylish ways to deal with this transition period.

These baby pics and the sibling one are too cute for words! Big congrats and try to take time each day to savor these fleeting moments while they are still so young. : )

  • ramya replied 11 years ago

Ok GP... It was nonstop Awwww.... all the way...

And you are a superwoman Natalie... Really... And my God!!! Are you fab or what :)

  • Katiepea replied 11 years ago

Congratulations on the birth of baby GP. He is utterly adorable!

You are looking waaaaaaayyyy too good to be worried about Trimester 4.

In case it is of any use at all, I can recall wearing my maternity clothes for the first week or so and then my larger sized regular clothes.

I must confess that I was so sick of maternity clothes and was so desperate to wear my regular jeans after baby 3 that I looped one end of a rubber band around the button on a pair of jeans, and looped the other side through the button hole. I then wore the jeans with a long tunic top worn over the top. Not very glamorous, but it was effective and I can remember that it did actually make me feel better to wear "normal" clothes again!

I read this at work and couldn't comment properly - SO FAB! The pics with all the kiddos are so sweet. You look like such a perfect family. You can just feel the love. The diaper bag is just as fab as we knew it would be - too perfect!

People can be so inobservant sometimes... when will you be induced? Eh, I think that says more about the other mom, lol. There is a pretty huge difference. You will be rocking your post-partum style like none other in two seconds flat. Happy Birthday to DS!

Congratulations, what a beautiful family and new baby. You look amazing, especially in the peacock tunic. I did not look that good after either of my babies, hehe. It's inspiring to see how lovely you look so soon post partum.

  • cciele replied 11 years ago

Congratulations! Baby (and the whole family, really) is too, too adorable. And you are definitely owning your postpartum style!

  • Vicki replied 11 years ago

Natalie, your precious little guy is adorable and the family photos are simply the BEST! Congratulations to the entire GP family! Your WIWs are always fantastic and I'm a longtime admirer. I think you've got the transition formula down and the peacock tunic and burgundy outfits were ideal.

I loved reading your post and look forward to more!

OMG this is the cutest post ever. Congratulations !You and your family are adorable. You look fab Natalie. And super energetic. :) Whatever you do, don't loose that wonderful happy smile of yours!

  • Scarlet replied 11 years ago

Congratulations, Natalie!!!!! I am so happy for you. He is beautiful! I think nobody posts postpartum style because they are too tired :) I guess you have no choice but to be full of energy with two active little ones already. (How do you do it? You really are a wonder woman!) When I was first home from the hospital we popped out to the mall so I could buy some fitting but not maternity jeans and a nursing bra. The woman in the store asked me when I was due. I couldn't blame her since I clearly had a big belly and was wearing maternity clothes. Don't worry. You look just right. My little sweetheart is 4 months and I am still wearing bigger clothes and dressing appley, even though every body tells me I look like I bounced right back. Since I am in the U.S. visiting family I took the opportunity to order some Angie's picks all sized up to fit me now with ease. I also find that the oversized tops that are in fashion work well for nursing. Just enjoy your beautiful, healthy baby! Brings tears to my eyes. And P.S. the Trouve denim-look top in the YLF store has snaps, which is very handy, and it shrank very little if at all in the dryer.

    This one is great too.

Also glamourmom has tanks with tummy control, and I think a little bit of firm pressure on the belly can help get the fluid out. I haven't tried this particular one but wore "heal tops" in the first couple of weeks which is a similar idea.

I have been looking out for this announcement but only just saw it!! Congratulations on a most fabulous baby!!!! I too am in awe of your looks and the fact you posted anything at all, let alone that thread.

I loved bottoms ( skirt and trousers) made of a fabric called bengaline for dressing in the immediate post partum period, although I wore it a lot in the second trimestre too. It is woven yet stretchy and firm, and helps to keep things in in a comfortable way.

  • Hil replied 11 years ago

You look amazing GP! And as a doula, I see A LOT of post partum moms! Please take it easy though - you and baba need some time to just rest a little! What a speedy labour you had!

As an apple shape, I totally identify with how you loved dressing your preggy belly - I felt exactly the same - for the first time in my life I could flaunt my belly instead of hide it!

I have been reading a lot about the benefits of belly binding recently - have you looked into that at all if your squishy post partum belly really bothers you?

  • goldenpig replied 11 years ago

Wow, thank you all so much everyone for the congratulations and well wishes and compliments and words of encouragement! I've read all of your comments several times--sorry it's taken me so long to respond. It's been a very busy and tiring week, getting used to the new baby and nursing a lot and taking him to all the doctor visits and the two older kids to school and activities. Baby was jaundiced so we had to take him in for multiple followups--we've been to the doctor's office 3 times in the last week (he's fine though now that the milk is in). And I had a low grade fever and chills two nights ago so I went to the OB yesterday and she put me on antibiotics for possible mild infection. I am trying to take it easy and rest as much as possible but it's tough as the baby is up a lot at night nursing and fussing. DH and I were complaining to each other how the baby sleeps all day and is up all night and DD said, "Well that's because the baby is nocturnal." LOL--she's smart! DH has been off work these last couple of weeks and doing most of the chores and cooking and taking care of the kids, which is great.

As for fashion, haven't been taking WIWs the last few days as I've been wearing the polka dot skirt a lot! :) Thanks JennyK for the tip about the BeBands--I had one that I didn't use during pregnancy but I tried it a few days ago and it was perfect to cover up the belly area. And hil, I did buy a binder as well so I think I'll try that as well. I did manage to make it to the mall with my mom one afternoon to buy some nursing bras. Breastfeeding is awesome--the engorgement makes my belly look comparatively smaller and is making the weight start to melt away, LOL. I think I've already lost another 5 lb in the last few days despite eating a ton. I bought a couple of tops in a size up to tide me over during this transition period.

Will post more later, but just wanted to say thanks for all the support and encouragement! I am overwhelmed with your kindness! What a fab group!!

Congratulations on your darling little man GP. He is just gorgeous! Little babies make my heart flutter. You look beautiful GP. I love that polka dot skirt. And the polka dot nappy bag ... Swoon. I'm very tempted. A new nappy bag was on my list and I still haven't purchased one so ... we'll see.

I found it quite full on going from 2 children to 3. It seems that someone always needs something doing for them! But those first weeks go sooo quickly as you know so enjoy every moment. I think it's easy to put too much pressure / too many expectations on ourselves so look after yourself! Your children are very cute !

  • CK replied 11 years ago

Congratulations! Adorable baby, and you look fantastic in all of your photos.

  • Scarlet replied 11 years ago

Please give yourself time to relax and heal, Natalie. You have been through a lot. I think a fever is a sign to slow down. That is great that hubby can take time off to help you.

  • Lisa replied 11 years ago

Congratulations on your newest addition. So precious! As far as PPW goes, I wouldn't give much attention to what others say. You have an amazing body that has given you 3 beautiful children, screw what others say about it. When your body is ready to bounce back it will. And your plan to use tricks from earlier months of pregnancy is a great idea.

  • Sara L. replied 11 years ago

Congratulations!! I was out of town and missed your post. I've been waiting to hear of your new addition and every time there was a lag with your posts, I would think "she must have had her baby", but nope just more great WIW's. So excited to finally see your new family member. He's beautiful and you look great! I wore sweats and yoga pants pretty much exclusively for several weeks after my kids were born, so I'm so impressed with how good you look just a couple days later.

  • Aida replied 11 years ago

Congratulations Natalie, you are all so adorable :D

    Natalie,
I am really late to chime in  (I've been off YLF for several weeks), but your baby is BEAUTIFUL!  And you are, too.  Seriously, I am so impressed by how fashionably you pull off pregnancy and new motherhood...with two toddlers in tow!

Take a bow, lady.  You are one fashionable modern woman.  And your family is gorgeous.  Congratulations to all!
