WIW 8/17: Red snake pants & black leather jacket for MOTG

Recently I wore a red snake blouse and leather pencil skirt to work (8). Here is the MOTG version, with burgundy snakeskin skinny jeans and the Spiegel black leather jacket. (Five month old DS2 can sit now, but just for a few seconds before toppling over--makes it tough to snap WIW's, LOL!) I was trying to decide which shirt to wear with it. DD wanted me to wear my Missoni floral blouse, but that was too much pattern mixing for even me, so I went with a plain black tee. Well, OK, it does have studs on the shoulder (6). I did wear the snakeskin blouse and snakeskin skinnies together before (9), but I find that I'm starting to simplify my outfits a bit more lately. I don't know that I'll completely forsake ALGO for minimalism. There's still quite a bit of ALGO matchy matchy going on with the silver purse and sneaks; the studs on the shoulder, purse and sneakers; and the burgundy snakeskin bracelet and jeans. Still trying to find that balance that feels right to me...maybe exploring ALLGO (a little less going on) might be fun for a change!

Looking good! I really like seeing the care and planning that goes into your outfits.

Simplified or not, your outfits are fantastic as always! I have been simplifying my outfits this summer, and I don't know if it's due to the heat or all the traveling I've been doing, but it's kind of nice to just pop on something easy and head out the door.

EEE! Sitting baby, toppled baby, smiling baby... and the jacket! I'm really glad you kept it - so much fun with skinny jeans. And while this is less ALGO than usual for you, I think you still have lots of fun detail.

Love it! I too occasionally dabble in ALLGO but in my heart love ALGO outfits. I'm digging this reptilian batch. Also your little boy is adorable. OMG! Is it cruel that I love the topple shot best? He looks like a doll.

These reds are so fantastic on you, Natalie, with your glasses, especially. And once again, I love to see how you're on Team Wear with a Vengeance! I bat really hard for that team, too.

I love the topple over pic too. He is so cute, I could squeeze him

Love your clothes, I can't believe you just had your third baby, in Canada you would still be on mat leave ;)

Natalie I love your MOTG version of the snake and leather outfit. And I think the amount 'going on' is spot on :) The topple pic is so funny, but the one of you both smiling just made me smile and feel happy!

Sorry, I'm too busy chuckling about your adorbs toppling baby to comment on your outfit ;)

Another brilliant MOTG outfit, Natalie! I don't know how you do it, your style quotient continues to be through the roof. Adore the new leather jacket on you, and the skinnies are playfully fun. And look at your sweet baby laughing, love it!

    DS2 needs Angie's crash helmet!

Love this outfit The grey cons are the perfect fun finish. I have a saying....."This is MFM," which stands for "Minimalist for Me!"
