WIW: Polka dot overload!

I decided I wanted to wear my new navy and white polka dot skirt from the Banana Republic sale rack. I paired it with my Anne Fontaine short sleeve blouse, and realized that it had a polka dot texture. So I decided to go all out and do polka dots on everything including my Marc Jacobs dotty snake bag and All Black fish bow pumps with dots on the toes. And even the White House Black Market pearl necklace looks like a bunch of dots. So fun to have dots on everything I'm wearing!

Yes, I admit it's a bit over the top and not necessarily the most sophisticated look, but I'm having fun with polka dot overload today! Thanks for your comments and suggestions!

Cutilicious!! I may have to copy this tomorrow. You are all so polka dotted out! I should have checked YLF before getting dressed today.

I love that skirt - what a great find!

    SWEET!

I vote leave off the necklace.

Believe it or not, but this type of matchy-matchy is very on trend and all over the runways.

All over the runways and all over YLF! You are in good company with Shannon and Maryk. I especially love the bag with this - the different scale of the dots as well as the black/blue combo feels so right.

You look great! We are navy-polka-dot-skirt-and-matching-shoes twins today! Although you beat me on the polka-dot items count, 3 to 4! (No, wait -- it's a tie because the lining of my jacket is polka-dot and my sleeves are turned up! So it's 4 to 4!)

How fun that so many of us felt the dot love today!

So much fun! Where is this outfit on the happy scale? And unbelievably fun that all the dots and matchy matchy turn up at the same day

Yay for pretty polka dots! Love this Natalie - and I'm amazed at how well the fishbow shoes go with this combination.

Fun! Bet you were happy all day looking at those polka dots.

Adorable! It looks so right on you. That is one fabulous example of Anne Fontaine workmanship.

I love it! I actually think it's a great balance of polka tops -- the dots in the blouse are subtle so not in-your-face dot overload. One of my favorite outfits :)

    So much fun!

I agree with everyone that you look fab! I'll be you made everyone smile who saw you today--it's a very happy, fun look, but stylish too.

Can one ever be wearing too many polka dots... Vpclearly the answer is no. What fun!

  • lyn67 replied 11 years ago

Beautifull items one by one, but all together are even more "cutilicious" indeed!:-) would also think you don't really need the pearls here, but so fun!

Thanks everyone! How fun that everyone wore polka dots! It's a psychic YLF sisterhood!
