WIW 10/22-23: Jellyfish dress and legggings, leather pencil skirt to work

Both worn to work. I'm always slightly bending the rules on what is work appropriate--leggings and leather pencil skirts aren't exactly typical business wear. Do these look OK? Got lots of compliments on the jellyfish dress. No comments on outfit #2, maybe a little boring compared to my usual, but I had a work meeting so I wanted to look serious.
Sorry my forum participation is so spotty--things are crazy busy!

I love both. The first 1 I want to replicate with 1 of my kurtas but I never seem to pull off my ankle length leggings. Something looks off on me. Where as you look smashing.

The second one is so so so business bombshell that my heart just went pitter patter;)

Love the jellyfish dress!  I think that your overall style allows you to bend the rules on what people typically see as 'work appropriate'.  You go from jellyfish dress to jacket and skirt with ease.  I think it's nice to have unexpected pieces in the wardrobe.

Wow, I am surprised that you did not get compliments on #2 because I love it. Extremely elegant and ladylike yet strong.

The jellyfish dress is fun and conversational so I guess it would garner more discussion. I'll bet it would be useful for MOTG, too.

The jellyfish dress is delightful!  I agree with you that #1 is pushing the biz-caz limits a bit, but #2 looks completely appropriate.  Traditional, but with the edgy leather skirt.  Lovely.

Love that Jelly fish dress! How adorable! How did you locate something this fun?!

I love the b&w matchy matchy outfit too! I have some of those pieces, I will have to put together something like this soon. My leather skirt only comes out to play in winter.

That jellyfish dress is incredible! I like the shoes you paired with it too. The leather skirt ensemble is classically elegant.

How did you come across the jellyfish dress?? You look great. The dress is quirky but still a polished vibe with the shoes and your demeanor.

Your bag and the jellyfish dress love each other- gorgeous !

How cute and quirky is that jellyfish dress! Fantastic. And the second outfit is pure Demure Bombshell. Love it.

2 is not boring at all! 1 looks a bit casual to me, but that dress is a really fun piece.

That jellyfish dress is just adorable! I like how you often include an element of fun & whimsy in an outfit... while still keeping it grownup and professional. The second look, while less whimsical, is certainly not boring. You look ladylike and very chic.

Sorry to bump this thread again--I've been so busy at work it's been hard to come back to respond. Thanks everyone for the nice comments! Just wanted to answer Rita and Una's question--I got the dress from eBay--it's a knockoff Moschino Cheap & Chic. Here was my K/R:

Interestingly, Tracina responded that she has the same exact dress! We so need to do a twin jellyfish day!

It really depends on who commented( or not commented:-))

Nr 1 is a great casual(dress is great, indeed!), but wow, nr 2 is much more dressy, which is my way all time, too-when in doubt---love monochromatic outfits that are so  rich in pattern and texture! YLF GP!:-)
