WIW 2/3-4 Handbag Month: Origami sheath & clutch x2 (cobalt/peacock & poppy/turquoise)

Here is another pair of outfits from Handbag Month...I am trying to use a different handbag each day this month.

My love of matchy matchy extends to creating an outfit and then wearing an exact replication of the formula in different colors. Patterned handbags are kind of hard for me to wear because most of the time my clothes already have patterns. I have a cool peacock clutch I would love to use more, but iif I want to use this clutch it works better to wear a solid color. I have two very similar dresses. One is the J Crew "Origami" sheath dress in orange poppy, and the other is a Cynthia Steffe cobalt sheath with a very similar asymmetric neckline. I got lots of compliments on both dresses on the color and style. No necklace to compete with the interesting neckline, so wore a bracelet instead. And started out in pumps, but quickly swapped to flats for comfort. I am so used to having comfortable feet that I want to stay in flats all day, even though I love the way that the heels look with the outfit!

1-4. Cynthia Steffe cobalt dress, Aldo peacock clutch, WHBM blue gem bracelet, Chie Mihara blue/green snakeskin pumps, Ugg Izabel blue snake lace up ballet flats.

5-10. J Crew origami dress in orange poppy, Kate Spade High Line Leica turquoise jewel clutch, Tommy Bahama turquoise bracelet (kind of echoes the purse), Kate Spade turquoise pumps, Tory Burch turquoise ballet flats.

OH WOW!!!!!  Numbers 1 through 4 SLAYED it.  Although pictures 5-10 were great, they could not compete with the first set.  That means I was so taken with the first set that everything else would pale in comparison.

I agree with Sterling, I can't get over how fab that cobalt dress is on you!

I need to take a page from your playbook! I almost never consider handbags in my looks, while so many women do. I can't be bothered with all the switching out everyday, plus I just stuff the essentials into my pocket -- credit card, keys and small mirror for back views-- or occasionally using a cross body when doing multiple errands. I like to be hands free and the lack of a shoulder bag is easier on my scoliotic back. I only switch when dressing up. You look gorgeous in all the pics, from head to toe.

I personally love the red with the light blue - my favourite :) Where is that trench coat from? I saw a Kate Spade one just like it yesterday and was contemplating it...

I LOVE #5. The red dress to my eye is even better than the cobalt. And absolutely delicious combined with the turquoise accents.

Both looks are winners, but the cobalt won my heart.  Gorgeous!

I love BOTH outfits so much -- cannot pick a favorite. The peacock bag is a show stopper. It looks fabulous paired with the cobalt sheath dress in #1. I adore the red/turquoise color combo in the second outfit. Stunning!

Thanks everyone! The dress is actually orange. It's a reddish orange but not a true red. I love the combination of orange and turquoise, that color combination makes me happy. Roxana, you are right, the trench is a Kate Spade. I got it on sale for half off. I rarely wear it, because I'm not sure beige is my color, but I think it needs to come out to play more.

Exactly. It's TOMATO or POPPY red. My favourite red.

Oh wow. You have brought together rich colors in such a satisfying and lovely way. The dresses look fab on you.

These are both gorgeous on you, and I like the flats as well as the pumps in each case. Stunning!
I like your strategy of repeating an outfit combination in another color. I think I do that, too, sometimes, and maybe I could focus on deliberately doing so more often.
I wonder about trying the turquoise bag and accessories with the cobalt dress, for another option.

These are both amazing! *High 5* from another Matchy Matchy Queen! I love how aqua/turquoise in particular looks so unexpected but right with the orange.

Both outfits are super fab, but #1-3 is my favorite. That peacock clutch is fantastic.
