WIW 6/7: Going boating

DH and I took the kids with us to the polling place after work. DD said that she wanted to vote for the first woman president of the United States. DS1 said he wanted to vote for whoever his big sister voted for. DS2 was excited at first, but when we came back home he started pouting and said, "You said we were going boating, but I never got to ride in a boat!"

WHBM ink blue blazer
Banana Republic orchid T shirt and floral skirt and bug necklace
Munro Abby silver sandals (yes I needed these metallic low heel sandals for all day at the hospital! So glad I kept them in addition to the Paul Greens!)
Michael Kors sliver bag

A lovely story and how loyal of your DS to follow DD. Great outfit!

  • rachylou replied 7 years ago

Lol. I didn't get to go on a boat either! Plus, my 'I voted' sticker is so much smaller! So not fair, hehe.

Also: my mom put her sticker on Lilypup... You know, spectres of Tammany Hall there...

Also: I should have put on a voting outfit.

    Also: Yours is so cute!

Can't believe how tall your youngest is. Still remember when you were dressing your bump.

Everyone, let's get out the boat.

Too funny... that is one of our family jokes from when my oldest was little too! Cute

What? We don't get those cool "I voted" stickers here, I'm so jealous, next election I want to go boating in the US.
You and your daughter are adorable in your twin eyeglasses.
The floral skirt looks so good on you.

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Your kids crack me up. And you look lovely, Natalie.

You look great, and are especially awesome for making voting into an event for your kids. They'll remember that and take pride in their role in democracy.

Your son's disappointment reminds me of mine at about that age. My husband and I were watching election returns come in and were distressed and uttering some choice exclamations at the results. DS finally gave a heavy sigh and said, "WHY do you keep saying CHEESES when there isn't even any CHEESE?"

Adorable! You are so attractive and your family is the cutest!

Aww, I would have wanted to go boating too! You look great as usual Natalie. Very lady-like and chic.

Great outfit for boating! I love the headwear, too.

Oh, too funny.  I had a feeling when I opened this i wasn't going to have anything to do with boating, but I was expecting a handbag shaped like a yacht or something.  You look great, love that BR stuff on you.

  • Diana replied 7 years ago

Ha! Boating! I love it! And hooray for teaching the kids about doing their civic duty. :).

You look great. I always love that jacket on you and the skirt is so pretty.

Also yes your voting stickers are much cooler than ours. I decorate my laptop and iPad with mine. :)

Great story and your children are not only adorable but already civic minded! Love your silver sandals and bag.
