WIW 8/28-8/30: First day of kindergarten and preschool!

It was a big week for my two kids--DD started kindergarten and DS started preschool! I was able to take this week off to help them with the transition, which was really nice.

1. DD's first day of kindergarten--she had to wear her school shirt. She wore it with a navy and yellow Tea collection skirt, yellow leggings and yellow Converse type sneakers from H&M. I wore a printed dress I found for $20 at TJ Maxx. Kind of reminds me of the type of clothes my mom wore when I was young, with the bright colors and loud/psychedelic prints. I wore it with my black Cole Haan wedge sandals and yellow Dooney & Bourke handbag.
2. When I picked DD up from school, I asked her how her first day went and this was her response. :)
3. Took the kids to the library after school--this summer DD read tons of Rainbow Magic Fairy books and DS has only wanted to read train books.
4. DS's first day of preschool--big sis wishes him luck!
5. DS is such a big boy now! Wearing Tea collection and Tsukihoshi sneakers.
6. I wore Sona's kurti tunic, white Paige jeans (still squeezing into them!), and Clark nude sandals.
7. DS is so excited he runs into the classroom and starts playing with the trains and cars. I'm wearing an Anthropologie green blazer and floral skirt, lace trimmed Halogen cami and Clark sandals.

Thanks for looking and commenting! I can't believe this day has come already--they're so big now! They both did great!

Love your daughter's outfit! And her attitude cracks me up. She's the entertaining cool girl already. You look so pretty and happy in all of these pictures, those white jeans are my favorites on you and the retro skirt in #7 really suits you. Is it from Anthro?

I like the bright dress from TJs too. Just found a pair of grey jeans there and I have already purchased two M Kors clutches over the past year from them. I would think TJs would be a great place to shop if you need size changes during pregnancy. How often do you need to change clothes sizes? Can you tell I never had any kids? :-)

Thanks Denise! Yes, the skirt is also from Anthro. TJ Maxx is great. I don't think they have maternity clothes specifically, but they are great for inexpensive finds. For me, I don't think I really changed sizes overall as much as I just needed to move into maternity clothes when my tummy gets huge. The rest of me pretty much stayed the same. That can vary though...I know some people get a lot of swelling or get big all over. This time I am determined to get creative and to try to incorporate as much of my non-maternity clothes as I can get away with.

Natalie, you and the kids look amazing! Your daughter is quite the character and both of them are adorable. Your daughter's hair is growing, too - it looks thick and beautiful.

I LOVE your TJ Maxx dress. Adore! Especially with that yellow bag. And Denise is right, that Anthro skirt really suits you.

Aww, they grow up so fast, don't they! Your kids are just precious!

I love all your outfits: I don't find the first dress to be too loud a print at all- I love it on you, those are terrific colors for you!
The white jeans make your legs look a mile long, and that last outfit is classic Natalie style- so pretty.

I know I'm going to enjoy watching your style these next months. It's a far cry from the days when I didn't think I had any choice other than awful, baggy maternity-panel pants with equally awful tent-shaped tops.

Great outfits- on everyone! Your kids are so adorable I don't even have words... beyond cuteness! It just goes by so fast- I took my daughter to the airport last week to start her second year of college. Miss her so much!! Your photos bring back memories.

You are fab as ever! Really fun to see your "maternity" outfits that are so far from "maternity wear", if you know what I mean ;-) Gorgeous kids and you got the longest legs in #6. Dress in #1... drool - not too much at all!!

You are all three just as adorable as can be!! Love your outfits!

Super adorable! And I love all your outfits, too. ; )

Beautiful. Your kids should be models, seriously. They look so precious in their back to school outfits.

I love your outfits, especially #7--the skirt! The blazer! I've always shied away from both of those items but now I want to go shopping at Anthro and see what I can find. I have a gift card I've been hoarding since my birthday in May...

Great looks! I want to copy your daughter's yellow leggings with yellow Converse look. Kidspiration here I come. Love her pose in #2, she is quite a comedian. You all look excellent and happy.

This is just way too much cuteness in one place, oh my gosh! You are looking fabulous, Natalie. I especially like that first dress on you.

I love when you post photos of your family. DD is obviously a budding fashionista with attitude and DS looks so cute with his big enthusiastic smile and clearly you are the stylish preschool mum.
