S/O: Fantasy You Challenge!

I loved Una's Fantasy You thread and really loved seeing everyone's fantasy inspirations:
http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....antasy-you

Now I challenge you all to translate your Fantasy You into reality and bring out your inner (UWP, badass, princess, rock star, Parisian, Hepburn, fill in the blanks). I think we all could use more touches of fantasy in our real lives!

I love playing dress up and creating different style personas for the day, so this is right up my alley!

In my fantasy life I am a pregnant Russian spy:

Or Trinity from the Matrix, secretly working as a secretary:
http://goldenpig.lookfab.com/p.....rain-boots
Or a saloon girl:
http://goldenpig.lookfab.com/p.....aloon-girl
Or any of the characters from the Picture Perfect Movie Challenge (Indiana Jones, Princess Leia, Holly Golightly, '20's flapper, Madeleine/Judy:

This is just to get you all started. I'll try to come up with a new outfit for this challenge too!

Post your inspiration photo and your fantasy-inspired outfit. No need to go out and buy costumes (unless you're shopping early for Halloween!), just get creative with what you have! Have fun!

This is fun!! I could try ... But I would need some time. I am in :)

Your outfits are fantastic and absolutely true to your fantasy life ^_^

LOL  Nicely done Natalie.  Your halloween outfits with DH are fab.

I was thinking the same thing when I read through Una's thread.  I realized I didn't need much to make a few of the ones I posted.  I need to find a few pieces and then make the outfits.  Its a bit ironic that I don't have the loose chambray shirt for one of them but do have the cap.

    Wow! Awesome outfits.

Ha! You are still as fun as I remember. My fave is definitely #3, but they are all amazing and goldenpig-fun! So nice to "see" you. I hope all is well.

So fun Natalie! I haven't even been able to load a photo for Una's thread so am a bit behind here...if I can get it together I'll join as well. You are SO good at this :)

    Okay, I give - what is S/O??  http://acronyms.thefreedictionary.com/S%2FO

  • goldenpig replied 9 years ago

It means spinoff. On another board we use it when we're starting another thread based on a previous thread.

Oh my goodness, these are over the top FABULOUS FUN with FANTASY, Natalie!

I'm in love with your version of Holly Golightly, but every single one is amazing.  I love your creativity and wonderful imagination!

Alassë, you look like a young maiden from a fairy tale!

  • goldenpig replied 9 years ago

Thanks everyone for the compliments, and I hope you all join in the fun too!
Neel, Dianthus and Jackie, can't wait to see your versions!
Zap, I haven't been around and posting as much lately because I've been super busy, but I hope you are doing well too!
Dianthus, these aren't even our Halloween costumes--the saloon girl was for a Wild West holiday party at the office and the gangster/flapper was for a 1920's theme fundraiser at DD's school. This was our Halloween costume from last year--we usually try to dress up in a family theme so DH made his own astronaut costume. This year we're going as the Incredibles.
Alasse, your gown is spectacular! You look like a gorgeous maiden!
Can't wait to see what everyone else has in store! Let's play dress up!

I'm in. Will post my pic later.

Natalie, this is so much fun!!! And your real life takes on Trinity, the Bond girl, and Vertigo were sooooo perfect!

This is great inspiration, and I think I will take a whack at this idea tomorrow.

  • rabbit replied 9 years ago

Your outfits are awesome!!!   I will get back to this, might take a bit...but so fun!

  • Cerinda replied 9 years ago

Grrr.  Camera in for repairs.  LOVE this thread; can't wait to see more!

  • Suz replied 9 years ago

So much fun, Natalie! I remember those costumes from your early days on the forum. Your kids must adore playing dress up with you.

I will try to come up with something. It will be lame, since I haven't even managed to post on Una's thread yet.

  • Emily replied 9 years ago

Natalie, your family absolutely wins at costumes.  And your fantasy outfits are amazing - I love the range of looks from your wardrobe.  Indiana Jones is my favourite!

Here's my version of my fantasy bond-girl self from last year... expect a re-do in the near future! :D

I totally missed this thread, but posted something today that Suz said I should toddle over here and post here as well.  Now I see why!
